I NEARLY DIED when Sheriff Stilinski caught Stiles and I in our room this morning inspecting the chains and restrains we had ready for Malia to use tonight. We tried to explain to him in total embarrassment that it wasn't like that but he had simply held his hands up to interrupt us and said he didn't want to know. We were both scarlet red in the face after he walked away and hadn't been able to look at each other for the rest of the morning.

When we got to school I practically dived out the Jeep, claiming I was going to be late, and ran past Scott just to get away from the awkward tension that had built between Stiles and I. I had calmed down after first period though and when a message came through into the group chat from Scott about Liam being a werewolf my focus became our unsolved problems again. Scott wanted us all to meet in the parking lot between the school buses and Lydia and I walked over after our class had finished.

We had managed to tell her last night that her math notes were not math notes at all and when she'd gone back to look at them she concluded it looked to be some code but had no idea what it could be for.

She'd spent all morning trying to decipher it and I merely watched because honestly I didn't know the first thing about code. Never mind Lydia's kind of code.

My friend and I were the last to reach the meeting point. Scott, Stiles, Kira and Malia were already there waiting for us and I gave everyone a tight lipped smile when I saw them. Scott's back was ram-rod straight and he was full of tension.

He met my gaze and I hoped he could see my sympathy for him when I said, "So... he's a werewolf."

Scott was the one who nodded while Stiles said in mild annoyance, "Yep, looks that way."

"And the full moon is tonight." Lydia observed, pursing her lips.

"I'm not sharing my basement." Malia butted in immediately.

"Actually, it's my basement." Lydia said matter-of-factly, "And my mom noticed how you tore it up last time."

Stiles intercepted, coming to Malia's defence, "All right, she's still learning."

"But, we're going to use the boathouse for Liam," Scott told us of his plan, "It's got support beams. We can chain him to one of them."

"Poor kid." I uttered under my breath though I knew two of my five friends could hear me.

"But how do we get him out to the lake house if he doesn't trust us?" Kira asked the question we were all thinking.

"I say if it keeps him from murdering someone we chloroform the little bastard and throw him in the lake." Stiles quipped with suggestive hand movements.

I scowled at him deeply, slapping his upper arm while saying, "No, we won't."

Stiles groaned in pain and gripped his upper arm, "Ah, god!" He mumbled, "That's gonna leave a bruise."

"I'm in." Malia said in favour of Stiles, raising her hand into the air.

Stiles looked at me in exasperation when I didn't hit Malia but I did look at her with the same glare I gave Stiles and said, "No, Malia."

"We're not killing or kidnapping him." Scott aided me.

"Then let's be smarter." Lydia chimed in, "We tell him there's a party and invite him."
