Surprisingly, Athena was looking forward to Æthelflæd's wedding. When they were invited to go, Athena was happy.

Athena adored Æthelflæd. Since the moment they shared when the girl was just a child, Athena treasured her. And now she was a woman, and to be married.

But, she's Athena stepped foot in Winchester, she gave her horse to Finan to look after, making a bee-line towards Thyra's home.

"How are things here, sister?" Athena softly asked, a cup of ale in her hand as she looked forwards at Thyra.

Thyra softly smiled, leaning on the table. "It is good. I am treated well." Thyra insisted, making Athena smile.

"Good, good." Athena reached forwards to squeeze Thyra's arm. "If not, you know you could tell me. I have killed Saxons before." She uttered the last sentence, making Thyra roll her eyes.

"I swear." Thyra chuckled, shaking her head at Athena, who let out a him. "Beocca has taken care of me."

Athena nodded her head at that, grateful for the priest. "I owe him." Athena insisted. She was, he had offered to keep Thyra safe. "So, how's the Christian life?" Athena jested, bringing her cup to her lips.

"Again, it is good, sister." Thyra nodded her head with a grin. "Beocca has taught me a lot of things I didn't understand before."

Athena chuckled at that, placing the cup on the table. "About his God, I presume?" Athena raised her brow with a teasing look. Thyra rolled her eyes once more, nipping Athena's arm. "Ow." Athena hissed, pulling her hand back. "I'm sorry." She raised her hands in defence, smiling once more. "Besides, I have also been educated in Saxons beliefs."

That was true. Melusine had taught her things about her God. And Athena listened, respecting Melusine's beliefs. She had also heard from Finan about the Christian life.

"That comes as a shock to me." Thyra tilted her head to the side, making Athena chuckle. "You have come far."

Athena rolled her eyes, leaning back in her chair. "What? A Saxon killing Dane, turned into a Dane-slayer and listens to facts about God?" She sarcastically said, shaking her head. "Father would be proud."
