chapter 5: the wooden hut

Everyone ran.
Rocky barfed along the way, the usual Rocky behaviour. (Lol)

They all settled for an abandoned wooden hut, it was quite camouflaged in the forest.
Tennis ball was relieved, but to his dismay.
'Grassy?! Why did you bring snowball?!'
'Snowy grassy! :D'
'ah no!' Tennis ball Panicked aloud. 'THAT THING IS GONNA INFECT ONE OF US NOW! THEN WE'LL ALL DIE!! OH NOOO!'
Tennis ball shook like crazy.

Snowball groaned.
'Snowball! :D' Grassy looked up at the snow pile who he had put on his head (TPOT 10 vibes XD)
'huh, what?' Snowball drowsily said, he hated looking weak, but he really couldn't do anything about it, he was in too much pain and.... Wait.
'limbless again?! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!'
'Shut it snowball! We don't want anyone out there hearing us!' Pencil shouted.
'but you just shouted...' Book pointed out.

Tennis ball looked at snowball, he was definitely himself again, especially after that little outburst.
But something told him that snowball still needed some help.
'Hey, um, grassy?'
'Yeah?'
'can I have snowball for a bit please?'
'okay, no more needle thingys please, I think you really hurt him.'
Tennis ball's heart melted and he felt a bit of guilt.
Despite Snowball's tough outer, grassy and him had formed a little friendship.
Grassy was a really innocent little plant, well, most of the time.
So to see this really touched the ball.
'I won't use those ones okay? Don't worry grassy.' I put on a friendly smile and went away holding a drained snowball.

'so rocky, how are you feeling?' Pin asked him
He barfed in her face, she wore an annoyed expression as she wiped it off.
'good.' ]:(

Everyone was chatting to pass the time, Pencil and match where playing spongy cake.
Bubble, Ruby and book were just happily chattering.
While pin and rocky sat staring, contemplating life.

Then noises were heard from outside.
Needle and Taco peaked out of the window.
They both gasped and exchanged worried glances, 'GUYS!' Taco whisper shouted.
'They are near! So everyone stay silent for a bit!' Needle explained.
Everyone obeyed and immediately fell into silence.

'Snowball, please! Just tell me how much pain your in! I need to know so I can help you!'
'...'
'i know this is hard for you but, come on snowball!'
'Fine! I'd say it's about an , GAH!... 9/10'
'okay, I have to work fast! They are coming!' Tennis ball whispered.
He noticed snowball's worried expression, before seeing his eyes glow red again.
'Huh?! I thought you were gone!'
'n-no, I'm not. My Job is to cause p-pain...
And- WOAH!' The red glitch was forced out and it slammed into the wall.
'Ha! Gotcha!' Tennis ball caught it in a jar, it screeched out of frustration.
'No more hurting people for you!' Tennis ball cheered. 'Well done Snowball, you fought them out!'
'of course.' snowball bragged wearing a smug expression.

Then a glitch bursted through the window,
'G-GB?!' Tennis ball stammered backing into the wall.
Golf ball stood, emotionless.
'GB! Please, it's me! Tennis ball!' he slowly walked over.
'Tennis ball! No! She is dangerous!' Snowball warned.
Tennis ball ignored the snow pile.
'UGH! IF ONLY I HAD LIMBS!' Snowball complained.

Golf ball stood.
'Golf ball?'
...
'G-Golf ball?'
Then she bit down on the leg that held the Jar.
'OWIE!' Tennis ball fell backwards sending the Jar crashing into the ground.
'ILL FIND SOMEONE ELSE, BECAUSE SNOWBALL IS WEAKENED AND SO ARE YOU.' The glitch cackled before disappearing.
Snowball growled in anger.
Tennis ball guessed that if snowball could, he would be punching right now.
Oh right.
'i could do the kill recover trick on you, if you want your limbs back. It's very risky though.'
'Just kill me already!' Snowball demanded.
Tennis ball rolled his eyes.
He killed snowball, then sped off to the HPRC.

'Hey! where is HE going' Pencil looked out the window.
'idk pence pence.' match shrugged.

Grassy sat on Ruby, this is new.
Ruby giggled.
'you okay up there grassy?' she asked with a goofy smile on her face.
'Im grassy!'
'Good!'

-------------- Two hours later.

'Tennis ball isn't back yet, should we be worried?' Bell asked.
'yes.' Taco replied nervously.

Then the door was slammed open and snowball practically fell to the floor
'Oof!'
'Snowball!' Grassy ran over and hugged him.
'Hi grassy.' He smiled as grassy climbed onto his head.

'Where's Tennis ball?!' Pencil questioned.
Snowball looked to the side guilty.
'oh.' Pencil got the idea.
'WE LOST OUR ONLY SCIENTIST!!!' Bell screeched 'ALL BECAUSE OF SNOWBALL!'
'WHAT?!' Snowball growled.
Grassy patted snowball on the head in an attempt to keep him from doing anything.
'YES YOU! I TRIED TO TELL YOU TO NOT FIGHT THE GLITCHES, BUT NOOOO, YOU FIGHT THEM ANYWAY! AND GET YOURSELF INFECTED!!'
Snowball was shaking in anger by this point. Grassy hopped off, there was no calming SB down in that state.
He charged at bell and punches her, this made her nearly swing off her string.
She retaliated and directed her swing into snowball, he didn't prepare for it, it sent him flying into a wall. He gritted his teeth upon impact, he went for another punch, Bell swung and dodged the attack.
Then he had another idea, he jumped onto her and gnawed at her string.
'SNOWBALL!!!' She screamed
Everyone tried to grab snowball off, before he caused anymore damage.
Then needle had an idea, she picked up Pin and stabbed her into snowball's side.
He yelled in pain.
He flinched and fell off, luckily bells string remained attached.
'he hasn't gone that crazy since golf ball in BFDI!!' Pencil shuddered.
Needle took a shocked pin out of snowball's side, this resulted in snowball yelling again.
He quickly got back up and glared at bell,
'Y-YOU DIDNT EVEN LET ME EXPLAIN!' Snowball stormed off, punching the wall before leaving.
Everyone watched in shock and fear, they then looked at bell. Her angry expression faultered and she looked down at grassy.
Grassy just looked at her with an unreadable expression, he ran after snowball.

'Was I too harsh?' Bell asked
Everyone nodded, except pencil and match who shrugged.
She too had never seen snowball that enraged, it was quite overwhelming.
She decided that it's best to talk to him when he isn't so tense.

-------- a few mins Later

Grassy came back in, he looked quite upset.
'hey grassy. Can I speak to-'
'no.'
...
Grassy walked straight past everyone and sat in the corner looking very sad.
'are you... Okay?' Ruby asks the sad grass.
'no.'
'what happened?'
'I don't think snowball likes Grassy anymore' Grassy started sniffling
Ruby nearly shattered.
'aww, I'm sure it's just because he's angry Grassy.'
'are you sure?' Grassy sniffled.
'Yeah.' Book came in 'People sometimes just need some space when they are angry or upset.'
'okay, grassy see him later?' Grassy asked wiping his eyes.
'yes' Book says.

Snowball walked in briefly he seemed to walk towards bell, but then went against it and went away again.
Then a window shattered....
