The Strain On One's Heart

"Scar. Scarlet, if you want to come, you've got to get up." I feel the gentle motion of being rocked back and forth. Groaning as a result of being disturbed from my slumberous state while pressing myself against the body that was lying beside me. His body vibrates with his chuckle, which does nothing but lull me back to sleep, causing him to shake me some more.
"No. I said you have to get up, not go back to sleep. Besides, I thought you wanted to go to Forks. I mean, I'm more than willing to leave you here.." I sigh my protest, pulling my face out of Felix's side.
"I'm up." I respond with drowsiness. I sat up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes while stretching my limbs.
"We leave in twenty minutes, so don't be too long." He stated. I hopped up from the bed, heading towards my wardrobe and quickly grabbed new clothes for the day. Going back home, I thought it only made sense to wear my uniform, regardless if it's not something my sister was ever entirely proud of. I usher to the bathroom and speedily got in the shower. I dried off and started getting dressed before exiting the room to see that Felix was sitting on the bed waiting.
"Still have about ten minutes." He times as I head for the door. I had my boots in my hand whilst heading to the kitchen. While walking I hopped around to put my boots on, forced to a stop as somebody steps in my way. I finished putting the other boot on, eyeing up at them. Jane.
"I still have ten minutes." I declare. She ignores this, throwing something at my head. I caught it, pulling it back to examine it lamely.
"Wear that as well." She instructs, not missing a step. It was a cloak, like the ones they wear. I shrugged it on, grabbing an apple. Not going to lie, trench coats were always a turn on. Seeing Felix in one- Phew!

   I eat hastily whilst suppressing the warmth in my cheeks, taking my leave as I finish. I was halfway to my room when I catch glimpse of a blur rushing towards me. In a sudden instance I was picked up and swung over someone's back. I huffed out at Felix, adjusting myself.
"Better hold on tight." He chuckles before speeding off. I squealed out as he did so abruptly, making everything around us blur. I hid my face into his shoulder to block out the violent winds. After a moment he stopped and I noticed that we were outside the castle.
"Airport." Jane says and like that we were off once more. I yawned quietly and watched as everything around us blurred once again. I lifted my hand up and struggled to get my hood of the cloak up before accomplishing so. He continued running for a while, my face buried in Felix's neck while the hood covered my face and the rest of my head. It was still dark out, but was starting to get a little light out. Just as I was starting to get used to the idea of sleeping in. Felix came to a break-necking stop and held on tightly so I didn't go flying off. I glanced up, the hood drooped down and over my face. I lifted a hand and pulled it back a bit to see that we were at the airport now.

"I have to put you down now." Felix says. I dropped to the ground and stretched while following after the others. I stroll between Jane and Felix while the other two were behind us. We made it to the front desk, got our tickets and soon after we boarded onto the plane. Not a whole lot of people boarded the plane, it was still a bit crowded but not like some of the other times I've been on planes. The plane would land in Port Angles and just like Forks, it wasn't a whole popular area. It's bigger and more popular than Forks, but not by much. I slipped through the seat isles and sat down next to Felix. Demetri sat down on the other side of me, Jane and Alec sat down in the seats in front of us. Nobody sat near us and nobody talked to them. It was quiet, even the other people on the flight were mostly silent. I sighed and relaxed further in my seat. It was going to be a few hours, so this oughta be fun.

   The first hour was silent. Nothing happening of interest. Occasionally Felix or one of the others would speak simply to entertain me. Felix and I talked for a bit, until it fell silent again. It wasn't a rude or negative silence between us, or any of us for that matter. It was just a time to relax really.
   The second hour Felix and I started talking a bit more. Same for the third hour. Talking about his life in the Volturi, this time telling more than he already has. I listened and told him more, if not a great deal. We've had this talk before but every time we talk about it we always mention more than the last time.
   The fourth hour, one of the flight attendants came around offering food and drinks to people. I got something small and even got an alcoholic drink, as well as water. I ate my food and sipped on the water while eating. Once I was finished, I then moved on to the other drink, almost downing it in one go. I have no idea what I got, but it was good. Great actually. I don't know if it was because of the taste or because of the position I was in. Being surrounded by vampires, about to see my sister who is about to, if not already, battling newborn vampires and her and her so-called beloved vampire boyfriend could possibly die..!
   The fifth hour Felix told me more about my sister's boyfriend. What he and his family are able to do. I already knew that some vampires are able to have gifts. Jane being able to cause an illusion of pain. Like she had done to me. Twice... Alec can take away all senses, his I still don't understand completely. Demetri is a tracker. Can track anything, anywhere. As long as he has a scent of them he can find them anyways around the world. I guess he's the world's best tracker. Felix is stronger than most vampires, as strong as a newborn, maybe even stronger. Aro can see memories or read your thoughts with touch. Marcus can... he can sense relationships between people. I had found out he's the reason why I lived. He felt the tie between Felix and I when I first got here. But in Edward's family there's him, who can read minds. Alice, who can see the future. Then there's Alice's mate, Jasper. I guess he can feel emotions and can change them to whatever he wants. Then there is Carlisle who has high blood resistance. Which personally I don't think is a gift, it's just something he wanted to do, or in this case .. not want to do... I think. I don't know. Still, he said the will power he has to resist blood is unlike any other.
   The sixth hour, well I fell asleep. I took it as an opportunity to take a nap since I wasn't sure when the next time I would be able to sleep would be. I slept for a while before I felt myself being woken up. The plane is going to land soon, I have to get up. I nod to Felix and stretched out in the seat. I right hand smacked Demetri upside the head by mistake, turning to him hastily with a stifled laugh.
"Sorry." He gives a flat look. Felix gave a deep chuckle as Alec and Jan turned to look at us. Smirks on their faces. I looked back at Demetri who nodded, trying to hide his humor with a sour face.
"The plane has landed, let's go." Jane instructs. We follow after her, being the first ones off the plane. Felix stopped and turned to me.
