The days that followed seemed to fly by, exponentially faster when comparing with the children's growth rates. They've outgrown the baby stage, straight through toddler age and now the size of small children.

The Cullen's, more specifically Edward and Bella, had received a package from the Volturi, congratulating Bella. Alongside it was a note from Aro, who was more than thrilled for our homecoming, he hoped. Felix and I started to make preparations to return, agreeing in the following weeks to return back. The other reason we've stayed for so long is because we were worried about the children's rapid growth. We weren't sure if this was a forever thing, or if they'd somehow stop aging at a certain point. At this rate, we were beginning to fear the worst, not knowing just how much time we had with them if the aging were to continue.

Since deciding on going back to the Volturi, Felix has been distant, not speaking as much even for him. I knew he was worried, I was too. We didn't know just how much Aro knew, and what he was planning on doing with said information once we did return home. No, but Felix..? He's been even more on edge.

"Brazil, though?" I asked with uncertainty on the idea of finding answers in Brazil. Carlisle has cousins or something down there, vampire of course, that could possibly help. Still not sure as Carisle tries to work out the details. Carlisle nods in thought, the two of us turning to Bella and Jake who returns with Renesmee.

"Renesmee, why don't you go find Hunter and play for a little while." She gestures the child away, her and the dog's behavior garnering our attention.

"What happened?" I interrogate instantly.

"Tanya convinced Irna to come reconcile with us." Carlisle sighs.

"It looks like she changed her mind." Edward interjects. Who sits with Esme at the piano.

"Seeing Jacob must have been too much for her." Esme tries to understand. I shake my head.

"It doesn't matter, it had nothing to do with her." I spit.

"Wish I could have just spoken to her." Bella says with guilt.

"She's family. She'll come around." I squint my eyes at Carlisle's optimism. The moment turns, as Edward hits a note on the piano, Renesmee following after him. I try to watch the moment with heart, failing as something just doesn't sit well deep down inside. My thoughts I'm sure not helping Edward as he almost fumbles on a note. I feel tension, that gut wrenching feeling of dread creeping as I couldn't help but think of all the worst possible outcomes.

Edward slams on the notes to the piano, as just then a shatter rings out deafeningly. Alice drops a vase she had in her hands.

"What? What is it?" Felix orders fiercely as Jasper rushes to his wife's side
