Everyone was left wondering just how on earth we had won without fully having to do anything. Besides the hybrid coming to show the possibility of normal living, they were also informed of the fight that would have occurred if Aro had decided on war. A few small minor details were left out, like Aro killing his sister in order to keep Marco loyal, but they all knew what my powers were fully capable of. And the sacrifice I was willing to make. Shockingly, it wasn't just Felix who was mad, but a great deal of people. Something that surely would have moved me to tears if I were capable.
People were beginning to depart, some having already left. I sent a salute to the comrade of Jasper's, Peter, as he had sent me a farewell of his own, his girlfriend, Charlotte, waving.
"No more suicide missions!" I deadpanned at their final goodbye, feeling Felix's eyes boring into me from above but continued to keep ignoring it. I looked around to those saying goodbye, giving a final wave to the Amazon coven as they begin to depart as Garret caught my attention as he was beginning to leave with the Denali coven.
"It was a shame we could not be!" I squinted my eyes at him as Felix growled behind me.
"Oh, yeah. What a shame. Reeeeal travesty." I say with sarcasm oozing from my words, causing him and his mate to laugh. I shook my head, waving the group off.
"I suppose I should thank you, after all, Garrett. For not killing me.." I sigh heavily as I give in, causing him to stop in his tracts and beam at me with cockiness.
"What was that? I'm sorry, I don't think I quite heard you, love?" I growled this time, turning my head sharply before my eyes rested on an unlikely pair. The coven leaves, my attention now elsewhere.
"She's gonna be around for a very long time, isn't she?" Jacob walks up beside Edward.
"A very long time.. I'm glad she has you." I snort at Edward's inner thoughts. Only 'cause I have no choice.. Jacob looks at him for a moment as Edward tries to bite back his smile. Jacob smiling himself.
"So should I start calling you 'dad?'" I started to lose it.
"No." Edward shook his head. I'll kill you.. I hunched as I continued to laugh hysterically, other's laughing in reaction and looking at me as I began to lose it.
"Dad?! That's great! Frigging great!" I held onto the rail as Felix sighed.
"Great! You broke her!" I squealed as he hoisted me up, spinning me in place before setting me down. I beamed with happiness as I leaned into him, watching as Hunter ran around playing tag with Leah. Bella and Renesmee made their way over to the boys having their moment.
"I think after all this, I deserve another three points. I win." I scoff at him, not wanting to lose but, well he did deserve the points, and then some.
"Well, I think I at least de-" I paused as something began to block my vision. It was of Jacob and Renesmee on the beach at sunset, and she was older. Walking to them was Bella and Edward, who embraced as they met. Not far from them was a couple walking, a young male that looked like Hunter, and Leah. They walked with their hands clasped as they talked passionately, when suddenly Felix and I swooped in, greeting them all. They turn to us, waving as Leah and Hunter look over, they see it's us and smile wide. He looks to Leah, who grins back, the both of them racing over to us.
"What? Don't tell me you can see the future now too..?!" Felix exclaims with exasperation, already dreading when we go back to the Volturi because of my expanding gift, and well, a whole lotta other things..
"In the Army.. I always dreaded the future.. But now.. I look forward to it more than anything.." Alice, Edward and I shared a look as the others around us were left wondering, the group of us sharing a warming smile as we embraced our loved ones.
