Lyric's POV
I walked out of the bathroom, patting my face dry in the process as I finished my morning routine.
'What a way you comfy'
As I finished drying my face, my gaze met Rajawn's piercing eyes, sparkling with quiet intensity.
He sat relaxed in the side chair, his left ankle casually sitting on top of his right knee, forming a comfortable cross.
His bottom lip between his teeth, a subtle gesture that hinted at a mix of calm focus and subtle allure.
Him creepy yuh f*ck!
Cause how mi neva hear when him come in?
"A rent yuh come fi collect?" I voiced.
"Yeah" he chuckled.
"Mi accept any form of payment."
Fava shit.
I remained unresponsive— not showing any form of interest in what he was implying.
"Wah yuh want Rajawn?" I questioned.
"Just a remind yuh seh yuh have a checkup later but mi nah go deh yah" he responded.
"Yuh know Rakesh already so everything ago gov."
Why him a talk like him being there ago mek mi feel comfortable?
"That's it?" I asked, trying to sound nonchalant despite the fact that my heart was fluttering in my chest.
How Rakesh or whatever him wah name ago checkup pon a baby weh nuh inna mi belly?
'Guess we ago dead today'
He nodded in agreement, followed by a lingering glance that took in every detail of my appearance, before turning to go.
"Oh—" he stopped at the door before turning around to face me.
"Patrick gone so yuh have a new chef" he continued.
"Him name—" he started to say but hesitated, wrinkling his brow in concentration as if struggling to recall it.
"Mi deevn memba" he chuckled before turning back around to walk away.
"Do di right " are his last words before he walked out.
Minutes go by before a knock came and the door swung open.
The door opened to reveal a muscular figure with a commanding presence, his tattoos running from his neck down to his sleeve in a vibrant, eye-catching display.
