aaron stood at the front of the living room, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion as a soft groan of frustration left his mouth. he placed the card back onto the table and a sigh left his mouth.

charades was never his strong suit.

"what even is that!" georgia laughs at aaron's awful attempt at mimicking what looked like...a dj?

"ummm a dj?" elia laughs as she attempts to guess at what her boyfriend could've possible been trying to act out.

aaron groans, shaking his head before attempting again.

"gynecologist!" julianna screams, making the entire room stop and stare at her quizzically.

"honey...should i have a word with your gynecologist?" her boyfriend, matthew, says.

"well it...i dunno it was just a guess okay! isn't that movement kind of like when they put the thingy in!" she argues, making everyone the girls pause and contemplate his movements.

"you know what..." elia nods, narrowing her eyes in concentration, making aaron deadpan stare at them.

"i was typing an angry email to my boss" he frowns before plopping down on the couch.

"oh honey" elia laughs as aaron pouts, tucking his head into her chest.

everyone else follows, the room roaring with laughter.

this had been a first for them. a triple date. julianna had started dating matthew not too long ago and georgia had been dating her boyfriend paul for about a year now.

"someone else go!" aaron shouts, his voice muffled by elia's sweater.

elia holds in her laughter as she runs her fingers through aaron's hair.

"it's okay baby. you did great. kind of" elia teases, and aaron look up from her chest to stick his tongue out at her, which elia quickly reciprocates.

"are they always like that?" matthew whispers to julianna as they watch the interaction between elia and aaron.

"since they first met at our dorm party freshman year." julianna nods her head.

"are you guys hungry?" elia asks, leaning over and grabbing the food.

"chinese from the place around the corner?" georgia gasps excitedly.

"you read my mind" elia smiles

julianna squeals with excitement as she hurdles over the couch to grab the menu from the takeout drawer.

aaron mumbled something into elia's sweater as he laid himself out dramatically across the couch in defeat, his legs going across julianna's seat.

"get your stinky feet out of here." julianna said, pushing his feet off of her seat as she went to sit back down.

aaron narrows his eyes at her and elia just rolls her eyes at them. they'd developed a sort of sibling relationship, and we're always fighting with one another.

"my feet aren't stinky. your feet are stinky" he teases, making julianna roll her eyes.

"really? you're in law school and the best you could do is 'no you?'" julianna chuckles, and aaron was quick to throw a pillow at her.

before julianna could respond, elia tsk'ed and georgia scolded them.

"stop it before i put you both in time out."

"she started it!"

"he started it!" they both shouted simultaneously.

"oh stop it." elia said, lightly tapping aaron's forehead.

"you love me" he smiled up at her

"and you're lucky i do" she chuckles, leaning down to press and kiss to his nose before sliding out from under him and grabbing a notepad and a pen.

"alright, orders?"

the containers were sprawled out across the living room floor, and in the center of the table, a pile of cards.

"UNO!" georgia shouts, making elia smirk.

"not anymore" she snorted as she threw down the plus 4 card.

"you're cheating!"

"no you're cheating!"

"i think matthew's cheating, personally" aaron shrugged

"how am i cheating! you're cheating so that elia can win!"

"am not!"

"are too!"

"no I'M cheating!"

everyone stops to stare at paul who then just shrugged his shoulders.

"i just wanted to be apart of the conversation."

"where'd you find this guy?" aaron says sarcastically, jabbing his thumb towards him.

"oh not the dad jokes please." elia sighs, placing her palm over her face.

"he's like eight beers in, dude. the dad jokes are late, honestly." julianna admits, and the girls all nod their heads in agreement.

"you can be my dad" paul winks over at aaron

"oh i will"

"should we give them the room?"

"yes, i think we should leave our boyfriends and give them some alone time"

"you'd never leave me" aaron pouts

"you're right baby. no i wouldn't. except for right now."  elia nods, grabbing her wine and following the girls out onto the balcony

"i'm telling your mom"

"no you won't. you're just as scared of her as i am."

"you're right." he sighed, nodding his head.

the girls shut the door to the balcony, leaving the guys in the living room.

"so how long have you guys been together again? like 12,000 years or something?" paul asks, popping the top off of another beer.

"close, 6 years. almost 7" aaron nods.

"you think you're gonna get married?" matthew asks.

a small smile graces aaron's lips before he nods his head.

"i think so, yeah"

in reality, aaron knew that he'd marry elia cho.

if it wasn't going to be elia cho, then it wasn't going to be anyone.
