17: ғᴇʟɪᴄɪᴛʏ

GOOB'S POV~

I felt at peace. I mean... Shrimpo actually cares. Scraps lied to me, but I don't care anymore. All i want now is to have Shrimpo close.
I give Shrimpo a small peck on the lips before getting up and walking outside.
The warm, calming breeze relaxed me.
Last night... Changed something about me. I feel like an entirely different person. I feel like i can take any threat, any insult, as long as Shrimpo is with me.

"So?"

I jumped when i heard Scraps' voice right behind me. Something about the way she creeped around made me uncomfortable. It's almost like she was "stalking" me.

"So...what?" I asked.

"I know what happened between you two last night." Said Scraps in an emotionless voice.

"Stop... Stalking us! I'm fine!" I laid my head on my hand and looked away, hoping she wouldn't keep talking about this.

"Have you changed your mind about Shrimpo?" Asked Scraps, moving closer.

"Yes...." I began talking, only to be interrupted:

"Gosh! That's what it took? Hopefully now you've learned your lesson!"

"I mean now i think he's way better of a person than before! I love him so much more after last night..."

Scraps stopped smiling and seemed angry. Then, her expression changed to surprise.

"Does he make you happy?" Asked Scraps, looking down at her paws.

"More than anyone else.... Uh... No offense, sis."

"Then... You two have fun." Said Scraps, smiling again.

I smiled too. She finally understood! I hope... I really enjoyed spending time with her, before she began being skeptical about everything and so overprotective. Perhaps now we can get back to our fun sibling hangouts, and we can eat ice cream together, make origamis... It'll be perfect!

SHRIMPO'S POV~

"So, finally had a good time again?" Asked Glisten in a mocking tone.

"Yeah. He was so much better at it than you'll ever be." I mocked Glisten back with a smirk.

"Oh yeah? Well you'll see!"

"I'll see what? You sulking in that lonely life of yours?" I laughed.

"I loved you, Shrimpo. What you did was not right." Said Glisten in a more serious tone.

"I'm not gonna hurt Goob too! I figured out my mistakes, and I'm sorry." I tried to get the words out of me.

"Well, i sure do hope so. Goob doesn't have tough skin like i did. One small mishap and he'll suffer his entire life! I had to put up with you for years!" Said Glisten, reminding me of our terrible past.

"I've changed, Glisten! That was years ago. I didn't know how to love. He'll be fine! And if anything happens, we'll just talk it out."

"I don't remember you being the type to "talk it out" so easily! You'd punch it out!"

"I'm not that violent anymore! Again, we were together years ago. And I can't even say it was romantic! It was just..."

"It WAS romantic for me! I really did love you! But you never understood. You pushed my feelings away." Said Glisten, getting up from the table.

"I'm sorry. I know no amount of apoligies can heal the scars I've caused you, but Goob won't suffer like you did! I assure you, I'll take the best care of him."

Glisten sighed and sat back down.

"Good luck. To both of you."

"And good luck to you Glisten, in finding the one for you.

Glisten smiled and got up, slowly walking away after waving goodbye.

CREATOR'S NOTE:
Heh hope ya liked this chapter. In case it wasn't obvious, in this story Glisten was with Shrimpo years ago but Shrimpo didn't truly love him, just kinda used him for pleasure. I don't ship Glisten X Shrimpo but i thought it'd be interesting for this story to add some background in Shrimpo's character development. They broke up a long time ago and Glisten was hurt because he really did love Shrimpo (but he doesn't anymore)
This story is close to ending haha, i have to push just a bit harder to get the last parts out then take a break. Don't worry though! Cause after this I'll be starting the AstroXDandy fic which takes place in this same universe.
