Chapter 1

Blaise Zabini

"Blaise get up, we are going to be late" Enzo grumbled rubbing his eyes.

I sat up noticing Draco's bed was empty and Theo was in the bathroom. Things haven't been the same since Draco found out Enzo slept with Lucille, Draco's girlfriend. I understood why though because sleeping with cousins is disgusting but they are still together.

As I began getting dressed I thought about Lucille and Draco's relationship, I used to think they had something special until I realized they were just toxic but if he's happy, I am happy for him.

Theo, Enzo and I made it to the Slytherin common room to find Lucille in Draco's lap and onyx sitting next to them.

"Blaise can we ta-" onyx's words were cut short as I walked passed her completely ignoring her.

As I got to the passage door I turned to see everyone staring at me shock.

"Ready to go" I asked like it was nothing beginning to leave the common room.

"What the hell just happened" Theo whispered to Draco following me out.

Sitting in Great Hall with my friends was distant to me as I was lost in my mind, a week ago I told mother about my powers and she sent a letter back talking about a school in America, It's just like Hogwarts without the wizarding.

I have been thinking about it a lot so I applied and was accepted, but the problem is my friends don't know and we are leave for the holidays tomorrow morning and when they come back, I won't be coming with them so I have to tell them today.

The morning has been stressful having to avoid onyx and thinking about a way I am going to tell them, I have a pretty good idea on how they are going to take it but I have to go.

As I am brawling this potion in potions class, I'm thinking about what's in the future for me at the Salvatore boarding school for the young and gifted. The class is going slow, but I can feel the staring in the side of my head from across the room so I look to find onyx staring at me, I turn away from her back to my potion.

"Mate what's going on between you and onyx" Enzo questions feeling the awkwardness.

"Nothing we broke up" I say nonchalant about it.

"What why" Enzo looks confused.

"We both want different things" I replied giving dry answers.

Enzo decided not to ask any more questions which saved me the time of answering.

Athena Mikaelson

"Good morning" I call out to my cousin Hope sitting down at the breakfast table.

"Morning" Hope says sitting down and spacing out.

Hope is not a morning person, she reminds me of uncle klaus a lot. Landon sits next to her kissing her cheek.

"Morning babe, hey Athena" Landon says half heartedly.

"Hello" I said emotionless.

Landon and I have a difficult relationship, we both love Hope and hate each other, I just get the worst feeling about him.

Hope and I have different classes because I train with my powers more than anything, but we do share a few classes together. I share those classes with Lizzie and Josie, Hope doesn't get along with either one of them, but they're my best friends, Josie is a siphoner which means she can touch people and absorb their magic and use it and Lizzie has powers, but she can also siphon, they are the daughters of Mr.Saltzman, our principal.

All three of us are best friends, despite the fact that their father is not too keen on me and my cousin because we're mikaelsons and mikaelsons are not known for being the best people at all, our fathers well our whole family has killed half of his family and friends.

"ATHENA" Lizzie yells in my ear startling me from my thoughts.

"Sorry I spaced" I apologized, feeling embarrassed.

"Yea I know, but I was telling you about the new student my dad said would be attending the school next month" she squeals excitedly

"Oh" I say not really knowing how to process the information being as though it didn't seem that special.

" I hope it's a guy and if it's a guy, I hope he's hot" she laughs.

" oh come on Lizzie dad says to welcome him, not throw yourself at him"
Josie says, rolling her eyes .

I know Josie would never admit it, but sometimes I can feel the secret animosity Josie has towards Lizzie, even though they're sisters but I can get where she's coming from being as though Josie is always overlooked when it comes to Lizzie.

" Guys before you start arguing how about we just focus on this class so we can have the rest of the day off, Christmas break starts tomorrow" I say clapping my hands with a smile on my face.

Christmas is always one of my favorite times of the year besides Halloween and New Year's but this year I'm more excited than normal. I have a feeling this Christmas and New Year's will bring something truly wonderful.
