I wake up to a knock on my door in the middle of the night.
"Finny?"
"Hey, Autumn." Finny whispers and lightly closes the door behind him.
We had gone to our respective houses after movie night and pizza with The Mothers, but it was only a matter of time before one of us snuck to the others' house.
"Is it alright if I sleep in here with you?" Finny scratches the back of his head looking sheepish.
I pull up the covers on one side of the bed and beckon him over.
"Of course, Finn. C'mere."
When he slides in next to me, I'm immediately surrounded by his warmth and comfort. Being with Finny feels like home, and I never want to leave.
"I love you." He whispers into my ear, and within a few minutes I hear the steady breathing indicating that he has fallen asleep.
Although I'm worried about tomorrow, him talking to Sylvie and all, I trust him with my whole heart. I know that he loves me, and he's my Finny no matter what. But I've come to terms with the fact that him and Sylvie need closure, and I want that for him.
Finally finding peace with our situation, and realizing that it's all going to be okay, I close my eyes and drift off...
