Mrs.Jackson's POV
"Come on y'all let's see what they can do for us at this police station," I said to my husband and Junior. My husband opened the door for me to walk in first.
When I made it to the front desk a handsome gentleman was asking me what could he do for me.
"Hello, sir I'm here to fill out a missing person's report for my son Devon Jackson," I said lowly but loud enough for his eyes to bulge out of his head.
"Oh my god come this way, ma'am," he said as my husband and junior walked behind me. The officer took us somewhere quieter and told us to wait for a detective to come talk to us.
"Ok Junior so while we wait on the detective tell me more about this Kamari person because he is the reason why my baby is somewhere he shouldn't be," I spoke in a cold tone.
"Ok so all I honestly know about him is that I met him through Devon when he came back to the dorms with him." He replied. "Where did they come from?" I asked.
"Devon took him to that new club that opened up last year," he said. "Now are you sure that's all you know about this boy?" I asked him.
"Yes, Ma'am that's all I know," he reassured me. "Alright, baby I just Devon is ok and isn't in any pain Lord," I said shaking my head from side to side.
"I hope so baby," Ray replied as he massaged my shoulders. "Hey you guys sorry for the delay I'm Detective Lou and my partner is Detective Jones." the man said to my husband as they shook each other's hand.
"Hey detectives I'm Raymond this is my wife Shante and this is my son's best friend Junior but he's like a second son to us," he said with a smile.
"Yeah I know this little knucklehead man time has been good to you boy I remember when you were a bad little boy now you are a strong respectable young man." the detective explained.
"Wassup detective Lou and yeah time has been good to me but I can't take all the credit Devon's father took me under his wing and made me pick up a basketball then the rest was history," Junior replied making me smile.
Junior had his moments where he was out of hand but that was because he had problems at home.
Devon and Junior have been friends since elementary despite them going to different middle and high schools there was no doubt they wouldn't stay friends.
"Yeah, I did and it was the best decision ever you know I tell these young guys to stay in their children's lives especially the boys because they gone need you in the long run," Raymond told him.
Detective Lou just nodded his head in agreement and said he was right about that. "So let's start with the Victim what all do we know already?" Detective Lou asked everyone.
"Well we know he stayed back here after that game we had a few weeks ago to be with this boy named Kamari Anderson," Junior said. Once Junior said that name he looked at Junior like he had stepped on his lunch.
"This Kamari person has been missing going on 3 days now as I look at this police report oh my god," Detective Jones explained to us. "What is it, detective?" I asked him.
"I don't know how to say this ma'am but your son along with three other people who knew Kamari were here filing this police report," Detective Lou spoke.
"I need a glass of water, please." was all I could say at that moment. Detective Lou walked out of the room for a second and came back with a glass of water with a cup.
"Mrs. Jackson, are you familiar with the Rodriguez family?" Detective Jones asked me.
Detective Lou looked at her with an expression that said if you don't shut up before I pop you in the mouth look.
