Luna Dora
It had been a rough week and a half since the Teddy mess. Vicky was a wreck, and Teddy wouldn't leave me alone about Victoire. I decided to avoid everyone and enjoy a peaceful breakfast by myself. I knew it was going to be loud and busy once I go home for Christmas.
"Hey Dora," Dominique sat down next to me, her face etched with worry.
I almost snapped at her for interrupting my quiet time, but her expression stopped me cold.
"Hey Dommy, what's wrong? You look worried."
"I think you need to talk to Roggie. I haven't seen him in days. Apparently, he's been holed up in his room all weekend. His roommate says he's fine, but I don't believe it for a second." She sighed.
"I knew I'd have to get involved eventually, but I had no idea it was this bad." I scratched my neck, already dreading the conversation. Aoede would be way better at this than me.
"What do you think he's doing in his room?" Dominique asked.
"Knowing Roggie, only one thing - reading about dragons."
"Dragons, right." Dommy nodded.
It was cute how he inherited Dad's dragon obsession, but seriously, couldn't he take his reading outside for a change?
"Think you can sneak me into his room again?" I whispered.
"Now?"
"Maybe best," I said. "Right after we talk to McGonagall."
"McGonagall?!" Dominique gasped. "You think it's that serious?"
"No, silly! Here she comes." I nodded towards Professor McGonagall approaching our table.
"There you are, Miss Weasley," she said to me. "I've been looking for you. Miss Weasley, would you mind giving, uhm, Miss Weasley and I a private moment?"
Dominique giggled. "Thank Merlin you were looking at Luna Dora, Professor. I wasn't sure which one of us you meant!"
McGonagall's cheeks flushed a little. "Yes, well, with six Weasleys at Hogwarts these days, it can be confusing sometimes."
She was right. There were a lot of us: Vicky, Dominique, me, Roggie, Roxanne, and Fred. I could tell she found it a bit funny too, but being the Headmistress, she had to stay serious.
"Although," she continued, a hint of a smile playing on her lips, "at least I don't have to give weekly detentions to you two."
Her smile faded a bit. "Unlike Mr Fred and Miss Roxanne, who seem to be following in their father's footsteps." It was the funniest thing every time they got a Howler from their mum, with Uncle George humming in agreement in the background.
"Don't forget James Potter, Professor," I chimed in.
McGonagall's smile vanished. James, our cousin, was the leader of their little troublemaking trio, thanks to a special map he inherited from his dad.
"Don't remind me," she said, her voice stern.
"What do you want to talk to me about, Professor?" I snapped her out of her thoughts and nudged her to start walking with me.
"I wanted to talk to you about your brother. Is he feeling alright?"
"As far as I know, yes. Why?"
"He hasn't been to any of his classes today." Her voice held a hint of concern that worried me.
"Oh no," I groaned. "Mum and Dad are going to kill me!"
McGonagall chuckled softly. "Don't worry, dear. You're not a bad sister because he skipped class."
