Following Starscream's successful expedition, he returns to Megatron, who is seen in his hidden base. Starscream, flaunting his success in retrieving the MechTech is suddenly berated and beaten to the ground, with Megatron angrily stating how N.E.S.T had planted tracking devices in their Mechtech, leading them straight to his base. Megatron tries to siphon Starscream's energon from his body, but is interrupted by Soundwave, who states the Autobots have arrived.
Megatron, along with Crankcase and Crowbar, fights off a few waves of Autobot soldiers, who try to kill him, however, he uses both his fusion cannon, and an inherent draining power to end the waves of freedom fighters. As he travels forward, Megatron, Crankcase and Crowbar encounter many Autobots who try to stop them throughout the facility, and eventually, Megatron utilizes his new ability, where he launches a liquid projectile towards inactive Cybertronian eggs, which subsequently births new Decepticon protoforms, in the form of small spider-like robots.
This journey continues, with Megatron scans a new Military semi truck with a military fuel tanker. Megatron, Crankcase and Crowbar eventually coming into contact with Warpath, who challenges Megatron to a battle. Warpath proves to be a powerful adversary, with large amounts of ammunition and battle armor, which sends Megatron and the Dreads reeling during few instances, however, the Decepticon leader exploits the weaknesses of the Autobot, and ends up prevailing, as the latter falls to the ground, dead.
This leads Megatron and the Dreads to dual rooms, each containing mass amounts of coolant, all of which must be destroyed in order to release Shockwave. This forces Megatron, Crankcase and Crowbar to work quickly, as the release of the coolant results in a quick freeze of both chambers, whilst they're still inside, pushing them to get in and out quickly.
However, despite their success in destroying the coolant, Optimus Prime suddenly arrives, in an attempt to put an end to Megatron's plans. The Prime utilizes arm blades, his Ion Blaster, and a complex shield system, however, Megatron punches through it, by freezing Prime temporarily via pressurized coolant cans placed through the area.
This allows Prime to access his trailer mode jetpack, and he uses that, and his upgraded weaponry to try and finish off the Decepticon. Megatron and the dreads however, bests Prime, and Megatron beats him to the floor, claiming that in spite of how much he wishes to kill him, bigger plans are afoot. He bids his long term enemy farewell, and then viciously kicks him into a large pit.
