**In an ABANDONED BUILDING - EARLY MORNING**
*The camera pans across the dark, dusty room where **LUCAS** and **EVA** are slumped against the wall, exhausted but alert. Faint police sirens echo in the distance, but the building itself is eerily silent.*
**EVA**
(whispering)
We need to move before they close in.
**LUCAS**
(sarcastic)
I thought we were done.
**EVA**
(smirking)
Lucky you—change of plans.
*Lucas glances at the boarded-up window, where a sliver of daylight creeps through.*
**LUCAS**
(serious)
They're sweeping the area. If we stay put, we're dead.
*Eva nods, already on her feet. She cautiously peeks out the window.*
**EVA**
No signs of them yet. We can't risk the streets, though.
**LUCAS**
Underground. The subway entrance around the corner—it's our best shot.
*Eva looks skeptical but knows he's right.*
**EVA**
Fine. But we move fast, and we split up once we're clear.
*Lucas gives a curt nod, agreeing with the plan. They quietly gather their weapons and head toward the door.*

#### **ACT 2**
**At an ABANDONED BUILDING - BACK ALLEY -**
*Lucas and Eva slip out into the alley, moving stealthily. They stick close to the walls, avoiding the main roads where police patrols are more likely.*
*As they near the subway entrance, they hear footsteps approaching. Eva quickly signals for them to duck behind a nearby dumpster.*
*Two **POLICE OFFICERS** walk by, scanning the area with flashlights. Lucas and Eva remain motionless, their breaths shallow.*
**POLICE OFFICER 1**
(to his partner)
They've got to be close. Keep your eyes open.
*The officers move on, and Lucas and Eva exhale in relief.*
**EVA**
We're running out of time.
*Lucas gestures toward the subway entrance just ahead.*
**LUCAS**
Let's go.
*They make a break for it, slipping into the shadows of the subway entrance just as another police car rolls by.*

**IN the SUBWAY TUNNEL -**
*The subway is dimly lit, with flickering lights casting eerie shadows along the walls. Lucas and Eva move quickly, descending deeper into the tunnels. The sound of a distant train rumbles through the space.*
