We agreed to work at the lab and right now I'm debating my entire life decisions. Standing outside the towering creepy looking lab and just the sight makes me want to run. I take a glance at my friends Dina looks enthusiastic while Riri seems to be having the same thoughts as me.
"This is your new workplace and home, you will all have separate bedrooms to sleep in as you will be separated." Miss Clark speaks up making my thoughts pause. "Seperated? Just how big is this lab?" Riri asks aloud making Miss Clark smile as she pushes a button on her phone explaining that the gate would electrocute us if we don't remember to press it.
Noted I think to myself with a scoff. We enter the building it's freezing and has a large hallway with metal doors all along to the end and at the very end I can see a wooden door looking like an office.
We all follow Miss Clark as her heels click against the cold hard flooring, she leads us straight to the wooden door, "Girls I hope you're excited to start working here." She speaks encouragingly as she sits at a desk which must be hers as she flips through papers and files.
"Hell yeah, I am!" Dina shouts enthusiastically, I wish I felt as energetic as she seems to be. Miss Clark sends a smile her way before explaining to us "Before I tell you anymore you must sign these papers each." She heads us each a piece of paper with a pen and I quickly read it noticing it's just a confidential form so we all agree not to speak about what we do or see outside the lab, I scribble my signature then hand her it.
The girls do the same and we take a seat anticipating for what's next to happen. "Monsters and creatures stay here." Miss Clark tells us with a very serious expression folding her arms on her chest, Dina bursts out in laughter "Monsters? No way!" She giggles in disbelief while I play with my hair in shock thinking just what on earth have we gotten ourselves into.
Miss Clark shoots Dina an unimpressed look "I'm deadly serious, you will be working with them." She speaks casually as if it's normal my mouth goes agape hearing her words. "What? How will we work with them?" I ask flabbergasted.
"You will be assigned to a monster or creature each and expected to help them adapt then hopefully one day they can leave this lab and not be a threat to human." She explains cooly "They each have their own cells and facilities you'll get files on whichever you're assigned with so you have a better understanding." She finishes with a smile.
"Wow, this is wicked!" Dina squeals making Riri roll her eyes "This definitely not wicked Dina, you certainly won't be this excited when your assigned monster decides to eat you first breakfast." I can't help but stifle a laugh at that.
"You must keep your work confidential from each other too." Miss Clark informs us, "What but I thought we all worked together or at least helping each other if needed." Riri rebuts más Miss Clark nods at her words "Of course you may ask for advice from each other but we ask if you could try at least to keep what type of creature you each have."
I nod firmly understanding what she means wanting to take the job seriously, but it's hard knowing I'm working with a creature thing.
