As soon as the scientist shows me the way to my new bedroom I sprawl out on the bed and notice the file on the cabinet, wasting no time I quickly reach for it deciding I want a better understanding of my subject but also wanting to know the full extent of his powers and be aware of what he is capable of.

The file states that he's been here for 10 years, he has fast reflexes and his speed is unmatched but the most dangerous thing about him is neither of those. It's his stinger. It warns that he's killed with his stinger before just one touch and he can kill a human before he's been known to kill humans with his stingers for simply just annoying him.

As I close the file to recollect my thoughts there's a knock on my door and Dina barges in happily "Missed me?" She asks smugly. "Where's Riri?" I ask with her not being anywhere to be seen.

Dina shrugs her shoulders "God knows, my guess is she's with her subject creature thing."

I just hum because it makes sense, then I realise she's in my bedroom which is in the same space as subject 8 and we aren't supposed to know about each others subjects. "You do realise that-" she cuts me off carelessly with while waving one of her hands in the air "I didn't see anything the glass wasn't see through." She explains simply.

"How is your subject? What's it like?" I question knowing we can get advice as long as we don't expose what type of creature we've been set to deal with. "Oh, he's huge and a beast at that." Is all she says happily while adding "Can't seem to speak though he growls a lot and calls out 'mate mate' like some robot it was all he chanted." She rolls her eyes as mine bulge out at her words.

Those were the words subject 8 referred me too as well, what on earth is going on? I think before Miss Clark saunters in the bedroom without even knocking "It's dinner time you are both required to feed your subjects and have a meal with them. There's a fridge in each of their cages for the food." She informs us before waltzing back out the door just as fast.

Dina smiles before engulfing me in a big hug "See you later Sof, good luck!" She encourages before strutting out the room to her subject.

I groan and glance at the file again deciding to have another quick read before going to feed and eat with the subject.

As I'm reading the rest of the file it turns out that this scorpion creature has killed over 300 scientists making my jaw drop in shock.
