Subject 8

Chapter 3

Once two scientists come and guide Dina and Riri to god knows where I'm still sat here with Miss Clark not knowing what to expect "Where did they take my friends, what happens now?" I question wanting answers especially since just finding out monsters and creatures exist; I mean what's next aliens I laugh internally at my thoughts.

"Sofia I just wanted to hand you a file on the creature you're working with he's subject 8." She tells me while handing me a big black folder. "As for your friends they're away to start working and probably reading their files now too." She adds while I nod before turning my attention to the file in front of me, I bite my lip in deep thought not sure how I feel about intruding on a random persons or should I say creatures life but then again it could be important for my safety I think sighing.

"I won't read his file yet, I'd like to meet him first and see how he seems before judging by a file." I speak confidently hoping I won't regret my decision and become some creatures lunch or breakfast as Riri put it,

Miss Clark frowns but nods nonetheless "Subject 8 is dangerous though I must warn you." She speaks with caution adding "All the creatures here are in their own way which is why we must help them even if some don't see it that way." She mutters to herself the last part making me wonder just how dangerous are these creatures.  "I understand and I'll take cautions, I'll definitely read his file tonight I just want to get my own impression on him when first meeting the subject.' I explain hoping she somewhat understands where I'm coming from.

"That's totally up for you to decide Sofia and I respect your decisions." She nods while a scientist suddenly enters the office in all white, "Hello miss, I am to take you to subject 8 now." The scientists informs with a reassuring smile that I return thankful that everyone here seems so friendly so far anyway. "Thank you, where should I place the file for now?" I question out loud as Miss Clark quickly gestures with her hands for me not to worry about the file informing me it will be placed in my new bedroom which is situated near the subject on the same floor.

I speak a gratefully offering her a "Thanks." As the scientist drags me to the elevators and presses the button and as we wait for the elevator my heels bounce on the floor with nerves at how unreal this situation is I still can't wrap my head around it, I keep hoping the girls are alright too and that I'll see them soon.

The elevator bings loudly as the doors open we step in as the scientist presses a button with A+ on which I find interesting the elevator buttons are all in letters not numbers how strange I think to myself as I blurt out without thinking "Why do the elevator buttons have letters on instead of numbers like a normal elevator would." As soon as the words leave my mouth I feel my face heat up not meaning to have said that out loud.

If the scientist notices my discomfort he doesn't mention it he just answers me simply "We rank the creature from most dangerous to least, it's for the best." I think about the scientists words and nod thinking that seems the most sensible thing to do.

"We're on floor A+ and floor C is the least dangerous." He speaks casually walking out the elevator as I follow before realizing what he just said "Wait what?" I shriek

"You're telling me the subject I'm working with is one of the most dangerous ones in this entire building!" I clarify feeling shocked and more nervous then I did a few minutes ago as I process this new information.
