Also, I literally wrote all of this today, so there was no editing.
I apologize in advance for the little planning in making this. Hopefully there isn't too many spelling errors lol!
"You're mine now, Adora," Catra said, and she gestured for Scorpia to follow her into the building, out of the cold. Her friend carried Adora in her large arms as the blonde slept peacefully.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Scorpia asked. "I mean, she almost tried to kill you."
"Well, next time I'll just try not to be in her line of fire," Catra said, grinning. "This is awesome! Did you see how she handled her friends? She didn't even recognize them-or she didn't care! The rebellion won't know what hit them."
They finally entered the building, letting warm air rush through them. An hour ago, Catra would have been relieved, but now she barely noticed, her attention focused on Adora again. She was sleeping so peacefully. It was almost cute.
Catra wondered what Shadow Weaver would think right now. She'd probably be jealous that after all that work at trying to convince Adora to stay, Catra had been the one to take her home. And it was better this way, anyway. Who wanted Adora to be herself? She'd just guilt Catra to bring her back to the rebellion at any other circumstance...
Scorpia set her down on the floor. "There," she said. "She isn't so bad, when she's sleeping, but...Catra, I'm really worried we're bringing home a bomb instead of a weapon."
Catra laughed. "Relax. I'm sure she's fine."
"Okay." Scorpia sat down beside them, staring at the girl weirdly. "Now that she's back, she's not going to be your third, right?"
"What?"
"Because you're the second in command, right?" Scorpia asked. "And I'm like, your third, so if Adora's here, you won't like...she won't replace me, rigth? Because I'm always here for you, Wildcat-"
Catra's face tightened into a thin line. "You're here," she repeated. "Well, maybe you should check the perimeter. Make sure nobody's climbed up that cliff. We don't want any altercations before we go."
"But we didn't find the tech yet."
"I don't care about the tech," Catra said, and she caressed Adora's sword. "We have all we need right here. No, go. Go!"
Scorpia fled, tail between her legs. Whatever. Catra had all she needed here. Absently, she fiddled with the sword. Her reflection stared back at her through the blade. She tried to understand what had drawn Adora to it, but to Catra all it was was a hunk of metal. Did it really call to her friend like that?
Even if it did, it didn't matter. All that effort Adora put into the rebellion would be for nothing. Catra wondered if deep down, Adora will know it, she'll know that leaving was futile, and leaving her just made things worse.
For some reason, that thought didn't make her feel better.
Adora stirred, and Catra stood and leaned on the sword's hilt. "Hey, Adora-"
"Heyyyyyy," Adora said, grasping her head. "You sound funny."
"I'm sorry?"
"You sound...all angry," Adora now sat up, her body swaying. She saw Catra, but she didn't seem to register her fully. Catra would have expected a scowl, or something, but instead, Adora just kinda stared at her dumbly. "Why are you mad all the time?"
Catra's grip tightened on the sword. "If this is your idea of a joke-"
Adora laughed, and walked a little closer to Catra. In response, Catra turned, blocking her from the sword. "You're not getting it," she said. "The sword is mine now, Adora. And so are you. As soon as you transform-are you even listening to me?"
