Hopelessly

"She's coming, I know she is."

"I scanned the entire fright zone, and nothing matches Adora's dna, aside from her room, which has all her stuff," Entrapta said. "Are you going to check again?"

Catra nodded. "Scorpia! Check Adoras room and report back."

Scorpia sighed. She was happy to help her bestie, but this seemed...excessive. "Are you sure she'll be there?"

"If I was sure, I would be marching down there myself." Catra basically hugged Adora's sword. "No, go. Radio me if you have any hiccups."

Scorpia nodded, slipping into the empty rooms. Lonnie, Kyle, and Rogelio still hadn't returned, and she couldn't help but feel like they should be looking for them, not Adora.

She had been in the Fright Zone, but she wasn't She-Ra anymore. She couldn't do anything, not without her friends. Honestly, whatever happened between them...

Scorpia blushed. She didn't like to think about that, but there was something between them, wasn't there? It was possible she and Catra had hooked up, and Adora bolted.

If that was true, then Scorpia hated Adora, not just disliked her. She did enough to scare Catra, and if she did more, then, well, Brightmoon would have to deal with her personally.

She shouldn't have convinced Adora to visit. Sure, Catra was in a mood, but...maybe it wasn't as bad as Scorpia thought. Scorpia could have made it worse-no, she could have been a bad friend.

Scorpia sighed, finally at Adora (and Catra's) old room. They needed new rooms for new recruits, yet Catra had kept this room in tact, like a Time Machine.

The bed was perfectly made, except for ruffles in the blanket where Catra would sleep. Hee closet was still open, showing an array of outfits that all looked the same, and a lonely brush sat at her dresser.

"Adora?" Scorpia called. "Are you here?"

There was no answer. She shrugged. "Bye."

Scorpia turned to go, but something stopped her. Slowly, she turned around, to find a pair of eyes staring back at her.

She lunged forward, but as soon as her body hit it, it disappeared. Weird.

She raised her claws. "Who's there?! I know you're here!"

Silence greeted her. A moment passed, and she stuck her foot under the bed-the only precaution she could think of. There was something under there, but it wasn't a human. Scorpia dragged it out with her leg.

It was a box.

She probably shouldn't be snooping, but...

Scorpia opened it, and frowned.

Those were... piles and piles of crumpled paper.

Garbage.

She shook her head, and hid it back under. Maybe she was seeing things. She shook her head, and headed back in.

Light Hope watched her go with a smile. "I see," she said, looking at the box under the bed. "Perhaps her feelings were always this strong."

Light Hope shook her head. It didn't matter. Once Adora could push past her feelings for Catra, all would be right.

She will see that too, eventually. When all is right, and she fulfils her destiny, she will see it as clear as day.

She will not make the same mistakes her and Mara did.
