Later that day Mal dragged Azira to help her find Evie around the whole campus.
"Can you please tell me why you're dragging me to find Evie?" Azira asked as they went outside into the courtyard.
"You'll see," Mal told her friend.
"Hey, isn't that Evie right there with Doug and Arin?" Azira said, pointing to the table Doug, Arin, and Evie were sitting at.
The girls walked over to them. "There you are!" Mal exclaimed when she and Azira got to where Evie was. "We've been looking for you literally everywhere!" Mal continued to speak as Azira sat down beside Arin while Mal sat in front of Doug.
"What's wrong?" Evie asked her friends, concerned.
Azira sighed. "After the tourney game, Eliott wanted to talk to me. He said that he and Haidee were just friends, and to prove it he asked me out on a date."
"Really?" Arin practically squealed.
"Yeah and Ben asked me too after the game," Mal added.
"Nice," Doug muttered as Evie and Arin laughed.
"We can handle this," Evie said to Azira and Mal before turning to Doug. "bye," she said before standing up and walking away with Mal and Azira.
"I'll make Eliott look presentable for the date, I promise!" Arin called out, causing Azira to smile, waving goodbye to him as the girls left.
"You're looking a little pale," Evie told Mal.
"Yeah," Mal responded.
"But I can fix that with some lip gloss and some blush," Evie said.
"No!' Mal said to Evie, making Evie and Azira laugh.

Mal sat on her bed in front of Evie with Azira in Evie's closet as Evie applied the finishing touches to Mal.
"Okay!" Mal said as she pushed Evie's hand away, "Easy on the blush. I don't want to scare him away. Not that I could."
"Please!" Evie said as she applied more blush to Mal's face. "My mom taught me how to apply blush before I could talk. Always upward strokes, she finished and set down the brush."
"My mom was never big on makeup tips," Mal told Evie before she put lip gloss on her lips. "I never really cared about how I looked."
"Well, now you have a sister-well two-who cares about her looks," Evie told Mal. "We're gonna need all the family we can get if we can't pull this off. My mother's not a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way. Just ask Snow White."
"Are you afraid of her?" Mal asked Evie.
"Sometimes," she admitted. "Are you afraid of your mom?" she asked Mal.
Mal thought for a moment. "I just want her to be proud of me. She gets so angry at me when I disappoint her." she said. "And she-yeah, she's my mom, so we know she loves me...in her own way."
"Moving on, come see," Evie said to Mal, leading her to the mirror. Evie stood at Mal's side as she looked at herself in awe.
"Woah," Mal said, smiling.
"Azzy, come look at this girl!" Evie called out to Azira.
Azira walked out the closet with two dresses which she put down once she saw Mal and Evie. "Wow, M. you look amazing!"
"I look..." Mal began.
"Say it," Evie insisted, smiling as she put her hand on Mal's shoulder.
"...not hideous," Mal finished.
