Tzuyu's POV
"Your favourite customer is back!" I yelled as I sat down in front of Elkie at the bar she works at.
Elkie turned around and let out a sigh, "Not to say that I am not happy to see you, but what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Sana right now? Especially after you were able to raise money for her treatment to save her?"
I let out a sigh as I laid my head down on the bar top, "I have spent the past couple of days with Sa-Sa and supporting her at her follow-up visits. I was planning to have another night-in at home with her, but she asked if she could go spend time with her best friends instead. I of course agreed and thought that this could be an opportunity to release all the stress that built up while Sa-Sa was in the hospital."
Elkie shook her head as she placed a glass in front of me on the bar top and filled it with water, "First off, have a glass of water. Second off, didn't you say that you wanted to lay off the drinking?"
I lifted my head and chugged the water before sliding the glass back to Elkie, "Listen, right before Sa-Sa was hospitalized, I was able to reduce it down to four drinks maximum. You know it would be a terrible idea to go cold turkey."
"You have been doing a good job, but I still think you should reduce it down to zero as fast as possible. I know you are more than capable of doing it. You just need a good motivation to do it."
Going down to four drinks was already hard enough. You should know that I was having withdrawal symptoms. And I do have a good motivation: Sa-Sa. It is because she asked that I have been working on it.
"I do have to give you credit for that. Just don't let yourself relapse, okay?"
"Oiiii~~~ Earth to Tzuyu~~~ Are you okay?" Elkie asked as she waved her hand in front of me.
I jumped slightly before realizing what had happened, "Sorry, I was just having a conversation with The Voice. It was telling me to not relapse."
Elkie started rubbing her chin as she looked downward, "It... did that? Does it mean..." she trailed off before shaking her head and then looking up at me, "Anyways, as I was saying, as much as I give you shit for still doing it, it is good that you are making progress."
I let out a playful sigh as I placed an elbow on the bar top and rested my chin in my hand, "Well... love makes you do insane things."
"You are such a... what do the kids call it again? Oh right. A simp," Elkie joked.
"Oh shut up," I said while playfully rolling my eyes, "You would totally be a 'simp' when you fall in love."
Elkie leaned against the bar top, "I already know I would be one as I want my partner to always be happy."
Elkie and I suddenly burst out into laughter at the stupid banter we just had. She collected herself before pouring me another glass of water that I instantly devoured. I knew that she was trying to just fill me up to stop me from wanting to drink alcohol. It really does not do much except keep me from getting intoxicated which is obviously a plus.
"Anyways, I don't think I have said this, but congratulations on raising the money for Sana's treatment. I am honestly surprised that you were able to do it in such a short period of time," Elkie congratulated me as she poured me the nth glass of water tonight.
I pushed the glass of water to the side before letting out a sigh, "That's the thing. I technically didn't."
Elkie gave me a confused look, "What do you mean by that?"
