A Step Towards Him.

Chapter 1.

Author's POV:

Disha was doodling on her sketchbook in her room.
She still hesitates to go outside, her room had become her safe place, but her friends won't let their lively Disha to stay in those four walls. She tries her best to bring herself back after everything she faced last year.

"Disha", her mother Anika Singhania called from the other side of the door. "Coming", Disha replied getting up from her bed and proceeds to open the door.
"Get ready,Raya will be here in 10 minutes, she told me to inform you because you're not answering her phone", her mother explained in annoyance, knowing well her daughter must have put her phone on do not disturbe as usual.

Disha let out a sigh, not wanting to leave her room but she hurriedly went to her wardrobe to get ready because she knew her bestfriend won't listen to her excuses.
Wearing a oversized grey sweatshirt and a black jeans, her long hair in a ponytail, she applied some lip balm and rushed downstairs after putting on her sneakers.

"Where's my princess headed to?", her father Daksh Singhania asked creasing her head. "I don't know Raya wants to meet me", she replied with a pout and her father let out a small laugh knowing how his daughter can't reject her friends.
"Bye dad", she waved and he nodded placing a soft kiss on her head.

Disha grew up in a loving household, her parents gave her the best lifestyle.

Daksh Singhania being the best father is also the world famous fashion designer and CEO of the clothing brand KAVERI named after Disha's grandmother. He achieved everything on his own and will go to any extent to protect his family.
On the other hand Anika Daksh Singhania a loving and kind mother with a breathtaking beauty was a model in her prime, she was a brand ambassador of Kaveri back in time that's when she and Daksh Singhania fell in love and got married, but now she teaches modelling.

Disha being in such a loving environment never knew the outside world would destroy her from the inside.
Her ex-boyfriend made comments that shattered her self-esteem, leading her to believe she's ugly and unworthy of love. After a tumultuous breakup, Disha fell into a deep depression.
For her love was something that made one strong but all she experienced was pain which broke her completely.

Despite her struggle in mental health she never gave up her dreams and ambitions.

Disha and her bestfriend Raya opened an online gift store, where they sold handmade gifts made by them. This helped them showcase their talent and earn at the same time.

Her eyes sparkled when she saw her bestfriend's car outside the gate.

Raya honks and she runs towards the car. Her love for her friends is unexplainable, Disha cherishes them with all her heart. Her friends were the only hope when she was drowning in the darkness.
