It's almost the end of semester. Our exams are starting soon and I'm back to my sleepless nights. The more I try to forget that incident, the more it keeps playing before my eyes followed by more horrifying memories and the chain continues.
The only thing that brings me out of those thoughts is Avyaansh. Whenever I remember our hug, my heart and mind finds peace though I never saw in his eyes after that but he's always watching me with his intense eyes.
He tries his best to help me in every way possible though he hasn't used any of the cards yet.
Yesterday he bought me all kinds of teas that will help me sleep, reduce my anxiety, etc. etc.
He kept going with their names and their effects. My dad said he likes him and my mom thought we're really dating.
Well everyone thinks we are.
And now I'm on the way to Kabir's house, we are having a study session there.
“Hello everyone”, I chirped as I made a dramatic entry in Kabir's room by leaning over the door frame like a fictional man.
“Hello my love”, Raya rushed to give me a hug.
My baby always matches my energy.
“Stop that, it's irritating”, Eeshaan grumbled in annoyance.
“Let them be Eeshaan”, Kabir said in an attempt to calm him down.
“Bro it's good that you're being obsessed with fictional men over the real ones, but stop acting like them all the time. Female characters exist you know”, Eeshaan almost screamed. I kept glaring at him, still leaning over the door frame.
“What's going on..oh okay”, dear Zayan entered with excitement but went silent after noticing me. He reads books so he knows what I'm doing right now.
And then the lovely Avyaansh enters, I fix my composure and walk towards the bed.
Time to study.
*****
“Eeshaan I'm not getting this”, I whined for the third time while holding the descriptive geometry textbook. That shit isn't going in my dumb head.
Luckily Eeshaan the topper is also studying architecture with me.
“Whine again and I'm throwing you out of the window”, he warned, pointing towards the floor to ceiling glass window.
I made a puppy face. “Sorry, I'm sorry, don't start crying”, he apologized and sat beside me.
This always works.
Eeshaan was teaching me and I felt this sudden urge to see Avyaansh's face.
I slowly gazed in his direction through my periphery and he was already looking my way, resting his face on his palm.
