Note to self, whenever something can go wrong it will.
I grabbed the nearest card carefully inspecting it for flaws as it had recently been a coaster. It looked ok to me though, so I slipped it into my bag and flopped on my bed. Today had been another long and "eventful" day. At least it was over. Finally, I closed my eyes to get some rest because honestly I'm really freaking tired.
The sun blinded me as I blinked open to the sound of my alarm. Time for school. As a general rule I like to wake up 3 hours earlier then I need to and set 20 consecutive alarms. Trust me, there is absolutely nothing worse than being late for someone like me. Whether it be terrible weather or traffic, if anything makes me late for school I usually have to deal with another weirdo. My cat starts yowling as if I'm starving her, so I roll out of bed and make her some food.
I shuffle out the door with my bag on my shoulders and a strong hatred toward toast in the morning. Why? Because it is the bane of my existence and the pinnacle of happenstances.
I walk down the sidewalk cautiously, I never take the bus or my bike because something always goes wrong. Plus, my mom is already at work so it's everyone for themselves.
At this point I'm so close I can see the school, only an hour until class starts. But then GUESS WHO FREAKING ROLLS UP AND RUINS MY MORNING. Charlie. I sigh in exasperation and lower my head as I stride into school. Please don't see me, please don't see me, please, if there really is a god up there who chose me for something I'm begging you don't let him see me. I hear a voice behind me, "Christian is that you?" I freeze. Either there is no god or it thinks my life is a joke.
"No." I break into a dead sprint. I just have to make it in the school and I'll be safe. I hear Charlie calling out from behind me. I'm so close to the school steps when I get a spine prickling feeling. Something bad is about to happen. I turn to the left and start sprinting as fast as I can away from the school and Charlie, but it was too late. I crashed into a nearby bush in glass forest, panting. I struggled to steady my breath and keep my eyes open as I lay on the leaves and branches. My vision started to dim as I felt a chill pass over my body.
This is very bad.
