Lucifer watched as the world went by, watching the world go by right in front of his pale blue eyes, leaning his head on the window, his blonde hair sticking to the condensation of the window. Each car that passed seemed like a blur of lights to him.

"Dad stop sulking, its just dinner" Charlie said playfully as she turned the car around the corner.

"Im not sulking..." lucifer pouted sitting up and looking over at his daughter. "You only invited me to this dinner because you feel sorry for me..."

"What!? Noooooo" Charlie coughed a little tapping her painted red nails against the steering wheel. "oh look were here!" She pulled into her driveway.

Vaggie was stood by the front door waiting to welcome her girlfriend home. Her long dyed silver hair shoved up into a pony tail as usual, and in her infamous black jeans and white baggy top.

Charlie jumped out the car running to the other woman instantly, blonde hair swaying behind her as she launches herself into her girlfriends arms. Lucifer slowly trudged behind, dragging his feet.

"Is he sulking again?" Vaggie asked quietly and Charlie just nodded.

They walked into the cozy house where Charlies best friend was setting the oak table up for dinner, laying out plates. "hey Char, hey short king" Angel winked causing Lucifer to just roll his eyes. "You look hot today" the lanky man said taking note of Lucifers open white shirt and grey plaid trousers.

"Don't you have a boyfriend?" Lucifer glared.

"Yes but he doesn't mind me flirting" Angel laughed.

He was a close friend of Charlie's, they met at a gay nightclub and became best friends very quickly. He was a performer as a drag artist and it was truly amazing how the tall male could make such a beautiful woman. He was very obviously gay, dyed pink and white hair, always wearing make up, always in shorts and crop tops. Very proud of himself and who he was, and made sure to show it. Although ht was someone else who found his soulmate... someone else to remind Lucifer of how alone he truly is. And there was a significant age gap too, angel being 25 and his boyfriend being 41. So lucifer really was just unlucky if they could find each other and he couldn't find his.

Lucifer rolled his eyes and sat at the table pouting as he stared at the white roses on the centre of the table.

"Dad please cheer up..." Charlie sat opposite.

"You invite me because you feel bad for me... its obvious Charlie... these are your friends not mine..."

She did it often. Invited Lucifer round for dinner or out for lunch and when he arrived Angel was there, or their friend 'Emily, or her Australian friend Cherri and her weird boyfriend with the long hair. He understood what she was trying to do but nothing made he feel older.

"Wait wait wait... he's miserable because he's alone? Then lets go find him someone!" Angel said excitedly.

"Im not interested in dating" Lucifer shot a glare towards him.

"I know that... but even a friend, you complain about me and Cherri enough" he laughed.

"Oh my gosh yes! Lets take dad to a bar! Angel where is it your boyfriend works?" Charlie sang excited to get her dad a social life.
"Wait no no no!" Lucifer stood up "I'm not in the twenties like you guys Char, I'm not the clubbing type anymore..."

"Oh no its a members club, this real fancy place downtown, its real classy but Husky got me a pass, i'm allowed up to four guests" he grabbed a thin black card from his pocket waving it around.

"Great lets go! It will be more your speed dad" Charlie dragged her father out the door not giving him a chance to say no.

"Wait Charlie! What about dinner?..." Vaggie frowned at the set table and the dinner she had worked hard on.
