“Surprises?” she asked, furrowing her brows, fixing her dress as she glanced at him with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. He smiled, a secretive glint in his eyes, and took her hand, gently leading her down the corridor of the elegant hotel. The plush carpet muffled their footsteps, and the soft glow of chandeliers bathed the hallway in a warm, golden light.
They stopped in front of a door, and he paused, turning to her with a playful grin. “Close your eyes,” he whispered, his voice tinged with excitement.
She hesitated for a moment, then complied, squeezing her eyes shut. He unlocked the door, the sound of the key turning in the lock echoing in the quiet corridor.
“Ready?” he asked, his hand resting on the doorknob.
She nodded, a flutter of anticipation in her chest. The door creaked open, and he gently guided her inside.
“You can open your eyes now,” he said softly.
She did, and her breath caught in her throat. The room was transformed into a haven of romance and wonder. Soft, ambient lighting bathed the space in a warm, intimate glow. The walls were adorned with sheer, flowing drapes in delicate shades of ivory and blush, cascading down like waterfalls of silk. A trail of rose petals, in shades of deep red and soft pink, led from the entrance to the bed, forming a path of floral beauty.
The bed itself was the centerpiece, its crisp white linens covered with more rose petals, artfully arranged in the shape of a heart. Pillows, plush and inviting, were piled high, and a luxurious throw blanket in deep burgundy was draped across the foot of the bed. Above the bed, a canopy of twinkling fairy lights hung like stars, casting a magical shimmer over the entire room.
