Nazia knocked on Professor Lukas's door, and he called out, "Enter." As she walked in, she noticed his usual calm demeanor was replaced by a scowl. He gestured for her to take a seat, his eyes clouded with distraction.

"Today, we'll work on a class activity from your textbook," he said curtly, handing her a worksheet. Nazia nodded and began working on the assignment, sensing a hint of frustration in his voice.

After a while, Professor Lukas came over to review her work. His expression turned from disappointment to frustration, his brow furrowed in concern. "Nazia, I don't understand why you're still pursuing BCom Accounting Science when you struggle with financial accounting," he said, his voice firm but laced with a hint of empathy.

Nazia felt a surge of defensiveness but tried to explain her passion for accounting and her willingness to learn. Professor Lukas sighed, rubbing his temples, his eyes betraying a deeper turmoil. "I'm not trying to discourage you, but you need to be realistic about your strengths and weaknesses."

As the session continued, Nazia's anxiety grew. She couldn't understand why Professor Lukas was being so harsh. Didn't he believe in her?

As the session came to an end, Nazia felt disheartened, wondering if she was really cut out for the accounting field. But then, something unexpected happened. As Nazia packed her things, Professor Lukas's expression softened. He stepped closer, his eyes locked on hers, his voice low and husky. "I just want to see you succeed, Nazia."

Nazia's heart skipped a beat as he brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. Then, without thinking, he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. The kiss was brief, but electric. Nazia felt a jolt of surprise and excitement.

As they broke apart, Professor Lukas looked just as stunned. "I'm sorry," he muttered, turning away. "That was unprofessional."

Nazia left the office, her mind reeling. What did the kiss mean? Was it a one-time mistake, or something more? She walked back to her dorm room, tears welling up in her eyes. "I made a huge mistake thinking accounting would be a piece of cake," she thought, trying to push the memory of the kiss aside, but it lingered, replaying in her mind like a persistent echo.
