A Feasible Bloom

Friday was virtually so boring and uneventful, I wouldn't have even remembered it if it weren't for the sudden massive weight of knowledge that Hyunjin was an idol and I had no clue. It passed quickly and it was now Saturday afternoon and I had spent most of my day so far studying more Korean while I had the chance.

I get a text from Hyunjin as I'm just finishing up some household chores.

Hyunjin: Hello! I hope you don't mind, I picked a place for us to go tonight for dinner. You wanna know what it is or do you want to be surprised?

Me: I don't mind at all. And let's have it be a surprise!

Hyunjin: You got it!

Me: How should I dress? Casual or should I dress up a bit?

Hyunjin: Feel free to dress up a little bit. I wanted to take you somewhere nice ;)

I kick my feet in excitement as I sit on my couch with a broom still under my arm.

Me: Sounds good! Thank you for dinner too btw <3

"AH WHY DID I SEND A HEART??? DELETE DELETE OH MY GOD!" I scream to myself out loud.

Hyunjin: I wanted to <3

I stare at the text and my toes go numb.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!" I don't think screaming at the top of your lungs with neighbors around is a good idea, however, I don't care much either. That text was enough to make my entire year.

I get up off my couch and make my way to the shower so I have time to pick what I want to wear while I wait for my hair to dry. As soon as I'm done showering I go straight to my closet to pick out something nice which I wasn't too sure I had in the first place, but I had some nicer pieces. I'm sure I can throw something together.

"No...No...No ruffles...No glitter...Ugh!" I throw half my wardrobe on the ground in a big 'no' pile and realize I really only have dresses to wear at that point. "Oh god, not a dress..."

I really didn't have anything against dresses, but I just didn't think they ever looked good on me. I tried on a dusty pink baby doll dress that just made me look like a square and I wasn't even sure why I still had it, I tried a black strapless skater dress and that one just felt like I was going to prom in 7th grade. In fact, that one probably was from my 7th grade prom...I tried on one more though and I actually kind of liked the way it looked.

I stare at myself in the mirror as I gaze upon the white sundress decorated with tiny powder blue flowers that was spaghetti strapped and tied up into bows on my shoulders. Twisting and turning in the mirror, I start to feel better about it so I look for some kind of cover for my shoulders. I settle on a simple white long sleeved denim jacket with fray on the bottom of the waist line. I take another look at myself in the mirror feel even better now that I had a jacket.

After hair and make up, which took me like an hour for each, I text Hyunjin and ask what time. He tells me 8:30pm and he'll come pick me up. It's already 7pm so I sit around for a while and watch videos of Stray Kids stuff on my TV so I can get a better idea of who Hyunjin was. I began watching music videos so I can see their work and their abilities then I continue onto interviews and Skz Code videos. I got to see their funny interactions and goofy personalities and Hyunjin was definitely among the most silly. I could've sat their all day and watched endless videos of them just talking to each other, but it was now 8:15 so I quickly send my address to Hyunjin and he messages me back.

Hyunjin: On my way over. Wanna meet me outside? I have a gift for you :)

Me: Yeah I can meet you outside! Be down in a few!
