Halloween

I was up extra early at work so I could leave a few before the party started, just to get ready and what not. Work was mostly okay and kind boring with all the paper work, but as I was going through it and very focused on what I was doing, a delivery man came in and had a bouquet of roses.

"Hi, uhhh, this is for-" He looks at the paper, confused. "-It just says 'My Love'."

I hide a smile and take them from him. "I know who these are for. Thank you."

"No problem. Have a good day." He left and I stare at the roses for a minute in sentiment.

I can't believe he sent more. He must miss me so much. I couldn't wait to go to Korea. I'm so close. I look at the card and it reads,

The closer we get, the more excited I become. I can't wait to bring you with me.

I thought the phrasing was a little weird, but I didn't think anything of it. English wasn't his first language. I smell the bouquet and smile softly.

I sent Hyunjin a text right then and there.

Me: I miss you so much. 2 more days and I'll be right there with you...

Hyunjin: I miss you too, lovely. So so so so so much! I'm giving you the biggest kiss when I see you and then taking you out to dinner <3

Me: I'll see you soon <3

Hyunjin: I love you...

Me: I love you too...

"Ohhhhh my gosh. Hyunjin is just crazy about you, isn't he?" Nadia says as she comes up to the counter and sees the bouquet. "Obsessed even!"

"Some might call it obsessed, but I don't know...I love that he thinks of me all the time." I say hiding my very eager smile.

"Well, either way, it's adorable and I love that for you." She says patting the counter.

"Thanks."

"I'm serious about setting me up with Han, by the way." She points her finger guns at me.

"And I said I would see what I could do." I laugh and continue going through paper work.

"Fine, fine...Hey, are you pumped for the bar? I definitely am. I'm gonna go right home when I get off work and do my make-up."

"I am also very excited, yes. I just know I'm gonna be so tired and hung over tomorrow though. I'm gonna need a lot of coffee in the morning for sure."

"Oh, yeah me too..."

"You drank like a bottle and a half of wine by yourself and had no adverse effects at all. What do you mean??" As if I didn't have to turn her on her side the last time we drank together heavily.

"That was wine. Liquor is more than likely going to be my poison of choice. I don't wanna remember tonight, ya know?"

"I mean, not entirely, but I get you. Go off." I say flipping through the patient's documents.

"Yeah, so anyway! I'm gonna go on my break, I'll be back in 10!" She says and she walks away waving behind her. She stops in her tracks and turns around to face me again.

"Hey uhh...What happened to your crazy ex? You haven't said much about him since you moved in..."

"Ah, well, there's not much to say. He hasn't bothered me since he destroyed my house."

"Really?? That's wild."

"Yeah, I think moving in with you threw him off my trail. No emails, no texts, no calls, no sightings either thank God." I slam a stack of documents on the front desk counter and push them to Nadia. "These are yours, by the way."
