The sun had set that night and Georgia still had not come home from work. Natalia was scared. Though, it was not because she was worried about her grandmother. Georgia had texted her earlier saying that something came up at work and she had to stay longer than usual. She was scared because of what Miguel said. He had planted the thought that a psycho killer was going to come to her apartment and kill her. Sure, she had the pepper spray. But Natalia knew it was really no use. Natalia sat on her couch with Buttons, texting Miguel.

Nat: I'm scared

Migs: Why? Realize that sparkly pepper spray isn't gonna stop a psycho killer?

Nat: Maybe...

Migs: Come over, Yaya is making tamales.

As soon as Miguel had sent the text, Natalia was sliding on her slippers and giving Buttons a quick goodbye kiss on the top of his soft head. She then walked a few steps over to Miguel's apartment.

"Wow, that was fast." Miguel laughed when he opened the door to see Natalia. Natalia notices how after immediately opening the door, the delicious scent of food meets her nose. The smell of spices mixed together perfectly.

"Miguel, es esa tu amiga?" Miguel's grandmother, Rosa, calls out to him before walking down the hall to see who is that their front door. The short older woman smiles warmly at her.

"Sí, es Natalia." Miguel replies, gesturing Natalia inside before shutting the door. Natalia glances around the small apartment. It's decorated nicely with some simple colors of black, cream, and brown. She notices how it's nearly identical, floorplan wise, to her own.

"No me extraña que no puedas dejar de hablar de ella, es hermosa." Rosa gushes, nudging her grandson and raising her eyebrows suggestively. Miguel shakes his head, clearly embarrassed. Natalia knew Spanish as she'd learned it in school, so when Rosa said 'No wonder you can't stop talking about her, she's beautiful', Natalia tried her best to hide her laughter in the moment.

"Hi, I'm Natalia." Natalia introduces, extending her hand out politely to the woman. Miguel's grandmother ignores it and engulfs her into a motherly hug. Natalia squishes into Rosa and eyes Miguel. The young teen just laughs at her. When the two pull apart, the older woman holds the blonde's face in her hands. Her brown eyes roam over her in admiration.

"I'm Rosa. Nice to meet you, cariño." She gives a Natailia a quick peck on the check before ushering back to the stove.

"I see you wore your fanciest for dinner." Miguel teases, glancing at Natalia's outfit. She was still wearing her pink sundress, though a white cardigan was draped over it and she wore the same bunny slippers Miguel had made fun of earlier in the week.

"You're one to talk, Pinkie." She shoots back, biting her lip to stop herself from grinning. Miguel glances down at his own outfit consisting of a black hoodie with Deadpool on the back of it and some red pajama pants.
