Germany stared at the Canadian in front of him. "Well." Germany paused. "Good morning, Herr." Germany greeted. "Good morning to you too." Canada greeted back in the most monotone voice possible. Canada's eyes turned to face Danubia. "And as for you." Canada paused, before continuing. "We need to have a discussion." Danubia nodded. "That's why we're here after all." Danubia added. Canada just let out a simple hum, not bothering to entertain the Austrian. "This is quite a serious matter, I believe." Canada snickered, composing himself quickly. "Danubian nukes..." Canada quietly muttered to himself. "That's right." Danubia didn't seem to be bothered by his snickering. "I do in fact have Nuclear Warheads now." Danubia confirmed. "Hmm." Canada hummed. "The conference starts soon, the entire world has its eyes on you, or well, us." Canada explained. "So try not to stress at all." Canada sarcastically added.
Danubia huffed upon hearing Canada's sarcastic remark. He tried his best to repress his annoyance and remained composed. "I know..." He simply said, folding his hands on the table. Meanwhile, Germany just sat there, his face blank, as if he expected this conversation to occur. A silence fell over the room, as Danubia and Canada just sat in front of each other. They both knew this was going to take a while. "Well..." Canada stood up. "I hope to see you two in the conference, in about..." Canada checked his watch. "Ah yes, 15 minutes..." Canada smiled, turning to look at them. "However take all the time you two need..." Canada smirked, before turning around. Canada leaves the room, the door behind him quietly shutting behind him. Danubia just rolls his eyes at the smirk, while Germany seemed amused by the man's attitude. Danubia scoffs silently, before looking back at Germany. "Is he always like that?" He asks. "Pretty much." Germany confirmed. Danubia just sighed and leaned back against his chair. "Great..." He muttered. The two of them then just sat in awkward silence, waiting for the conference to start.
"Listen." Germany broke the awkward silence. "Right now, nearly the entire world is concerned about a third wheel entering the nuclear race, that third wheel being you, so what I'm gonna need you to ease tensions as much as possible during the conference." Germany paused. "Although it's gonna be nigh impossible to convince the Canadian." Danubia just groaned with annoyance, rubbing a hand against his face. "Yes, I understand. I'll try my best to convince them somehow..." He paused, thinking about Canada's attitude. "And try to convince him" Danubia muttered, emphasizing Canada's name. "Hmmm." Germany hummed, leaning in his chair. "take these 15 minutes to mentally prepare yourself." Danubia just let out a huff, leaning back against his chair. He folded his arms across his chest as he looked up at the ceiling, trying to prepare himself for the conference and to deal with Canada.
The room was larger than expected, an audience of several dozen countries spectating. Canada stood on one side of the room, while Germany and Danubia stood on the other side. Danubia stood there nervously, glancing around every now and then. Germany and Canada just stared off at each other, almost as if they had relived this very scenario a million times already. "Well..." Canada began. "I would like to begin first, if that's okay with everyone of course." Canada asked, politely, but it was more than a facade of course. Danubia just stood there, his hands clenching and unclenching slightly, as he tried to control his nervousness. "Let's address the elephant in the room." Canada begins. "Danubia has nuclear warheads now, this is a massive shift in balance. Before it was just me and Germany who possessed such destructive weapons." Canada paused. "...but it seems a German 'ally' has entered the stage." Canada explained, clearly trying to hide the mockery behind his words. Some of the spectators nodded along, their faces grim as they listened to Canada's speech. Meanwhile, Danubia tensed up slightly, but tried his best to keep his composure and not react. Germany, however, just remained emotionless, almost looking unbothered by everything happening right now.
