Culture. Culture is something thats slowly being chipped away from China. The last few years have not been kind to the Chinese. From the collapse of Qing authority, to the Warlord Period... to this. Guangzhou looked out the window, at the city, this city alongside with the rest of the South was the last bastion of Culture. The very little culture that was left at least. The classes and border raids with the Chinese and the Fengtian-Beiyang government was slowly starting to push back what remained of the Guangzhou government. And honestly... the prospect of losing what little remained was terrifying. Guangzhou herself was the last thing that was fighting back against Japanese hegemony. Guangzhou sighed to herself.

This wasn't gonna cut it, something needed to be done about the Japanese. She wasn't gonna do this alone, she couldn't, simply put it. It didn't help that the German Empire was started to publicly support the Imperial Japanese state. Guangzhou groaned, she wanted to ignore it, but she had already ignored it for too long. She needed to start actually doing work. Guangzhou's frustration mounted as she continued to reflect on the situation. The constant pressure from the Chinese and the Fengtian government was bad enough, but now the prospect of losing what little they had left to the Japanese was a nightmare she couldn't afford to face. "I can't do this alone," she muttered to herself, her hands clenching into fists. The thought of the German Empire's support for Japan only added to her concerns. The geopolitical landscape was shifting, and not in a favorable direction for Guangzhou.

There was one person...

"Listen, you have to help me." Guangzhou argued, trying to keep her tone as low as possible to seem polite. "I can't afford the Japanese winning and ruining what's left off China..." Guangzhou argued, her nervousness growing with the passing minute. Canada put his head on his hands, raising in brows as if he was amused. "Is that so?" Canada asked, his voice monotone. "Listening, I know you hate Germany, and this is your opportunity to one up him... please." Guangzhou argued. Canada did seem to get irritated by the mention of Germany. "Ah, so this is about sticking it to Germany, eh?" Canada mused, a hint of amusement in his tone. The mention of German Empire always seemed to ruffle his feathers, and it was clear that this was no exception. "And what do I get in return for helping you defeat the Japanese?" he asked, his eyes narrowed. "Well, for one you get to rat out German Influence from East asia..." Guangzhou paused. "...And you know, a Federal Democratic China is a good thing to have, right...?"  Canada raised an eyebrow, considering Guangzhou's words. "A Federal Democratic China, huh...?" he repeated, the idea slowly gaining his interest. He couldn't deny the tactical advantage of having a stable, democratic country in the region. And the opportunity to stick it to the German Empire was just an added bonus. "Fine. I'll help you out, but on one condition."
