The sun had bore down mercilessly upon the endless dunes of the desert, each grain of sand shimmering like the melting hot gold. In the unforgiving landscape, one man had strode with one purpose, his silhouette a dark blur against the sandy distance. Kofi, a master of the spear and a man born of the desert, carried within him the weight of grief, guilt, and a curse that had bound his fate to a relic of the sands.

The amulet, a small, unassuming pendant shaped in such as a scarab, hung from a leather cord around his neck. It was made of a strange, shimmering stone that seemed to hold within it the essence of the desert itself. To an untrained eye of a person, the Amulet would have appeared as nothing more than a simple trinket for the person wearing it, but Kofi knew better. He had seen its power firsthand, and used it firsthand—had watched as it claimed the life of his brother, Olli because of a bounty hunter also looking for it.

It had all begun about a year ago when Kofi and Olli, adventurers and fighters of their desert homeland, stumbled upon the ancient artifact buried deep beneath the sands. It was said to belong to a long forgotten king, a tyrant who had once ruled the desert with an iron fist. Legends spoke of a great treasure hidden within the amulet, if and only if the wielders of said amulet can resist the corruption of the great tyrant king trapped inside it But Kofi and Anwar were not like the others; Olli was the one who discovered it and was able to control the powers

The moment Olli had touched it, a pulse of energy had surged through him, and the sand itself had come alive, swirling around them in a violent storm. Kofi had watched as his brother mastered the power of the sands, but was interrupted by a bounty hunter, and now. He wields it, and the bounty hunter was dead.

In the aftermath, Kofi had taken the amulet, not only to protect it from prying hands, swearing to uncover its secrets and find a way to rid himself of its curse. The guilt of his brother's death had weighed heavily on him, and he vowed to ensure that Olli's sacrifice had not been in vain. His journey led him far from the desert, to the mountains that stood like ancient sentinels on the edge of the world.

The journey was long and tough, but Kofi was no stranger to hardship. He climbed the steep mountain paths, braved the biting cold in his clothes built for the warm, and pushed through the thin, freezing air with the determination of a man who had nothing left to lose. He had heard tales of the Magical Magnus clan, a village hidden high in the mountains, where wise sages and powerful sorcerers dwelled. If anyone could help him understand the amulet's power and help him break the curse, it would be them, and most likely, the amulet came from them as they were known for their prowess in magic.

When Kofi finally arrived at Magnus' village, he was greeted by a sight that he did not expect. The village was a place that had already been plundered, bodies were shattered and scattered all over the streets of the village, and not a single soul was alive, 'blood of the dead' Kofi murmured, shocked of what had happened, 'who could've done this?' he asked to himself.

But he had to keep on pushing, he had come too far to turn back now. With the amulet around his neck and his spear in hand, he set out once more, this time toward the castle that loomed like a dark specter at the side of the mountain.

The journey was perilous, the air growing thinner and colder with each step. The path was treacherous, lined with jagged rocks and sheer cliffs that dropped into the deep ravines below. But Kofi's determination drove him onward, and at last, he stood before the castle gates.

The castle was a fortress of stone and shadow, its towering spires piercing the sky like the fangs of some great beast. The gates were sealed, but Kofi could feel a dark energy that emanated from within, a cold, oppressive force that seemed to drain the warmth from the very air, and sucked the essence of life out of the place.
