For she is nothing but a weakling with a pretty face, often described as a mere walking 'doll' without a soul.

Wherever you walked, misery was always sure to follow. And in this case, that misery of yours actually had a name.
Shinazugawa Sanemi.
"What are you looking at, wench?!" He snapped, scowling at the mere sight of you glancing at him with such exasperation evident in your eyes.
You heaved out a sigh, before shaking your head and muttering, "Nothing."
Currently, the two of you have found yourselves on a mission, since there were presumed sightings of an upper moon demon near the village of Aya. You weren't informed which one of them it was, hence you could only pray it wasn't Kokushibo. You were in no way ready to die by his blade yet; you haven't even reached your full potential yet.
Sanemi was strange. He was unnecessarily angry all the time, and you were sure it was in no way beneficial for his health. But beneath his hard and unpolished exterior, you could see he actually meant no real harm. There was one problem though. You still couldn't get to the bottom of it, and it was bothering you for a while now.
Just why was he so angry at you?
Perhaps, he still thought you were a traitor and an untrustworthy person overall. But surely, that couldn't be his sole reason, right? Was he mad about the fact you acted so indifferent in front of Oyakata-sama, who he held such respect for?
'I'll make him tolerate me somehow.'
Getting lost in your thoughts, you accidentally slammed into his back when he suddenly stopped. He turned around, irritated, before pushing your shoulder. "Watch it, idiot! We're here, be more alert if you don't want a demon eating your conspicuous ass!"
'Conspicuous? Me? Oh, right, my hair and eyes are purple, so I must appear odd..'
"From the bushes!" He exclaimed, drawing his blade out and pointing it in the direction he heard the sound come from. However, the demon he expected turned out to be nothing more but a small, white forest resident.
"Shinazugawa-san, that's only a bunny," you commented.
His eyebrow twitched, before glaring at you fiercely. "Shut it!"
"It's possible the demon is blending with the crowds inside the village. I heard demons can shape-shift," you asserted, humming in the process. He seemed to think over your proposition and nodded, albeit reluctantly.
"We can look, but if you're pulling my nose, I'll skewer you along the upper moon once we find him," he threatened. You couldn't take him seriously with how he was looking at you. His eyes were constantly blown wide open, so it was a tad bit worrying. No offense to him, of course.
