Rhaenyra

She watched from afar as her father's ship sailed away from the docks. Her father had asked her one more time to come with him before sailing away, but Rhaenyra had refused. Her place was here. She would return to King's Landing one day and never let it fall to the rats, but for now, she would stay here. She watched as the ship sailed away until it disappeared into the horizon. She wished to spend time with Aenar, but he was busy with the troops. Daemon had said that it was about time Aenar took the role of someone who orders people, and from what she heard, Laenor was helping him since he, too, would be part of the assault.

She wondered what Laena was doing right now; she wished her friend was here with her, but Princess Rhaenys had made it clear that Laena had no reason to be here since she had no dragon of her own. Her mind quickly went back to her father. She knew a child was growing in the whore's belly.

What can I do? That child, if it's a boy, could be a potential threat to my reign, she thought, wondering what she should do. She knew what her...

"What are you thinking about, my niece?" She escaped her reveries and turned her head around. Her nuncle strode towards her, smirk on his face.

"...The war, I will soon be out there. I was thinking of taking Syrax and flying around. I think she misses me." To prove her point, Syrax let out a roar from her resting place, lifting her head up to look at her as if telling her, 'This is boring. Can we fly?'

"Is that so." She didn't miss that he sounded doubtful. "So you are not thinking about your father?"

"I have no reason to think about him." She said sharply, snapping her eyes at him with anger in her eyes, like a dragon roar. "He betrayed us. He made his choices. I don't care how he feels. I never will." She added coldly, her eyes brimming with pure anger.

Daemon stared at her before patting her on the back and walking down the small hill toward the field of Dragons where Syrax and Caraxes were residing. "I don't think you should hate Viserys," he began, recalling his promise to his grandfather and his big brother's comforting words after Lyanna's death. At the lowest moment of his life, because of his grief, he had allowed Lyanna's body just to lay there and decay for three days instead of burying her.

"How can you say that, after what he did?" Rhaenyra couldn't keep her voice down as she screamed at her uncle, and Syrax let out a roar from her place; she could feel the same anger as her rider.

"Niece. I will never forgive my brother for making such a foolish decision. I will not forgive him for trying to marry my son off to a Hightower whore. I will never forgive him, but..." He placed his hands on her shoulders, making her look up at him. "I do not hate him. Hate is a strong word. Despite everything, he is still my brother, the one who was there for me when I needed help the most. Rhaenyra, hating your own father will eat away at you. Instead, use your hatred against someone else who deserves it. I hate the Hightowers for convincing him to marry my son to that dirty whore." Daemon spoke, and Rhaenyra stepped back, appearing slightly perplexed.
