I was shoved out of the closet first. My eyes caught the flabbergasted looks of many teenage girls who had followed us towards the janitors’ closet. My lips turned into a sly smirk as I had an idea. I pretended to fix my hair and clothes as if I had just had a hot make-out session with Matthew Green. Gross, I know.

My satisfaction was filled when large gasps escaped the girls’ lips.

I guess I had stood there for too long, because Matthew decided to open the door and step out. He froze when he saw me still there, and all the girls that looked like they just saw someone die. I turned towards him and patted his shoulder assuringly.

“That’s your problem, buddy.” I told him as I walked away with a smile on my face.

School had finally ended, and I couldn’t wait to belly flop onto my comfortable bed that was calling me. I walked towards my awful run-down silver Toyota Camry. I had gotten it just for a thousand bucks, but it sure loved to break down on me. The paint on the car was beginning to peel off, and large cracks filled the glass on the front window. My job didn’t pay me enough money to fix either of those problems.

I worked in a tiny little diner next door to my house. We lived pretty close to one of those shop centers so I only had to walk a few minutes to work everyday.

I opened the door to my car when someone immediately shut it.

“What the hell-?” I began to say before I was met with the face of Matthew. “What do you want?”

“Mmm-nice to see you too.” He joked, smirking slightly.

“Ha. Ha.” I rolled my eyes and opened my door again.

He shut it with his hand once again and I turned to him furiously. “I don't know what you're getting at but I really have to get home.”

“Guess you don't want your $1000 for the day…” Matthew said, shrugging his shoulders and looking away from me.

I sighed and folded my arms, I couldn't refuse money. “What do you want?”

“Hey hey, let's calm down there princess.” He said, taking a hold of my arms.

I pushed his hands away and furrowed my eyebrows angrily. “Don't you dare call me a dumb princess.”

“Why not…princess.” He teased, getting closer to me.

I backed away from him and scoffed. “Okay. If we are gonna do this ‘fake dating’ thing, we have to have boundaries or rules.”

“Whatever you say.” Matthew shrugged, stepping closer to me.

I put a hand on his chest and pushed him away from me. “I'll start…rule 1, no calling me princess. Deal? Oh, also, don't get so close to me.”

“Why not? You know you like it.” He said, grabbing onto my waist and pulling me closer to him.

I widened my eyes and pushed him away immediately and pointed a finger at his face. “Don't touch me! I am not something you can just touch now because you're paying me!”

He softened his teasing gaze and his lips turned into a thin line, “Alright. Rule 3, stop acting like you hate me all the time.”

“But I do hate you.” I told him.

“Then act like you at least like me.” Matthew said, leaning on my car.

“Fine. I'll try. Now I really have to go, there is a wonderful bed calling my name and-” I began before he rudely interrupted me.
