There's a definable moment in everyone's life. One moment where things you thought were important suddenly weren't. Your views could change, your whole life could switch directions. Some people wait years before it happens to them. For Taehyung, he was only twelve.

When Taehyung remembered his childhood a small round face came into view. A boy with chubby cheeks and round eyes filled his thoughts. Sweet giggles that called him 'hyungie' ran around him. The young boy chasing after him, arm outstretched just about to grab ahold of his shirt before he would quickly dodge it and hear the cutest whine.

That one summer was all he thought about. At first he figured that the memories would fade over time. That eventually the small boy would leave him and he wouldn't think about him anymore. But everyday like clockwork his eyes would drift towards a certain drawer that held a picture. A single Polaroid of himself and a small boy. His pretty bunny.

Five years had passed and by the time he was seventeen he had made himself into someone he never thought possible. Maybe it was the conditioning he faced at his own home. The clear favoritism he was witnessing, the lack of love from his own mother is what made him into the person he had become. Maybe it was the irritation, the jealousy he felt when his mother would coddle and spoil his younger brother while he received nothing for himself. It had always been this way. His mother treating him as if he was a stranger, not even her own blood. All of her attention had gone to Youngsoo the moment he was born.

Taehyung's father had left them as soon as he was born into the world. A year later his mother fell hopelessly in love with another man. One thing lead to another and Youngsoo came into the picture. But that man didn't stick around either, this time though it was a car accident that had taken him away. His mother who grieved the loss of her love, poured it all into raising Youngsoo with as much love as she could give. After all Youngsoo's father was the love of her life while Taehyung's was a drunken mistake.

His younger brother knew the differences on how they were treated. Liked to exploit it too. How he would act so innocent infront of his mother and elders, he was manipulative even at a young age.

That's why every summer Taehyung would travel to Daegu to spend the time there with his grandparents. He needed a break, wanted to feel loved, given attention. It was there that he met Jungkook. A sweet little boy who no matter how hard he tried he couldn't forget him, even if it was only one summer out of the many he spent there, Jungkook's summer with him was his favorite. Even so that he had confided in his friends about Jungkook. It was a good thing too, because when he was seventeen, just starting his final year of high school, Namjoon had come to him with the impossible.

To actually find him again, or atleast the hope for it. But Namjoon was right. He said he had befriended a kid around Youngsoo's age at the library. Everyday the kid was there so he thought to talk to him, noticing the books the kid read and thought to maybe get his thoughts on them. When the boy said his name was Jungkook, Namjoon thought it couldn't be him but a month after getting to know the younger it was casually mentioned how he spent a summer in Daegu when he was younger. The coincidence was amazing, fate truly was amazing and Namjoon couldn't believe that he had befriended the one kid out of millions that his friend was hung up on.

When Taehyung saw him again his breath stopped, hell, time stopped. It was without a doubt his baby bunny. He was taller, older, prettier. So Taehyung made it his mission to look out for him, watch him and make sure nothing bad happened to him. He wanted to wait until Jungkook was older before he approached him. After all there was a three year age difference between them, it would be inappropriate with there ages with how young the other was. He needed to bide his time and wait.

What he didn't expect was to come home one day and find Jungkook already in his home. That shit hurt, his heart felt like it was being ripped from his chest as his brother introduced Jungkook as his boyfriend. How had he missed it? Maybe with college getting busy, and it's not as if he stalked Jungkook. He'd only occasionally go to the library when he knew the younger would be there, he'd follow him from behind to the bus stop, even sit a few seats behind him all the way until his home. He just wanted to make sure he got home ok.
