Vox's Pawn's Pov

I reported to Vox, feeding him carefully crafted lies. Husker's intel on Alastor's powers grew more valuable by the day.

"Alastor's progress is impressive," I said, maintaining my facade.

Vox's eyes narrowed, his rivalry with Alastor simmering. "We can't let him surpass me."

I nodded, hiding my unease. The web of deceit tightened.

Husker's Pov

I watched Vox's Pawn navigate the treacherous landscape. Their loyalty to Alastor remained unwavering, but the risks grew.

Alastor, in his human form, remained with Alafia at her house, his demon form hidden from prying eyes.

Only Alafia had witnessed his true nature, and Alastor intended to keep it that way.

As night fell, Alastor's tension grew. He sensed the darkness gathering, Vox's minions closing in.

Fia approached him, concern etched on her face.

"Alastor, what's wrong?" She asked.

He hesitated, unsure how much to reveal.

"You're in danger, Alafia. Stay close." He replies

Their eyes locked, and for a moment, the world outside melted away.

Alastor's Pov

Fia's proximity ignited a fire within me. My human form struggled to contain the demon's passion.

I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on our survival. But Fia's touch sparked a craving I couldn't ignore.

"Alastor?" Fia whispered, her voice husky.

I turned, my eyes burning with intensity.

"Yes, darling?" I ask, leaning in to kiss her.

Our lips almost touched, the air thick with anticipation.

And then, a knock at the door shattered the moment.
