Charlie's Pov
I paced the lobby of the Hotel Hell, my eyes scanning the small group of residents. Where was Alastor? A sense of unease settled in the pit of my stomach.
"Vaggie, have you seen Alastor?" I asked, approaching my girlfriend, who stood by the bar.
Vaggie's expression turned concerned.
"Not since morning, Charlie."
I glanced at Husk, polishing a glass beside her.
"Husk, have you seen him?"
Husk's expression remained neutral.
"No idea, Charlie."
Angel Dust, a pink and white spider, lounged on a nearby couch.
"Hey, toots! Looking for Alastor?"
"Yes, Angel. Have you seen him?" I replied.
Angel shook his head.
"Not since morning, sweetie. But I'm sure he'll turn up...or should I say, turn you up?" He winked, making a suggestive joke.
Nifty, the cleaning maid, rushed past, chasing a roach. "Ah, pesky creature! I must catch you for my collection!"
"Nifty, wait! Have you seen Alastor?" I asked.
Nifty paused, breathless.
"No, but I'll find him after I catch this little guy." She eyed the roach, her gaze gleaming with excitement.
My frustration grew. Where was Alastor? And why did Husk seem secretive?
"Husk, are you sure you don't know anything?" I pressed.
Husk's expression remained impassive.
"Positive, Charlie. Don't worry, he'll turn up."
Vaggie's gaze followed me, her black eye patch glinting.
"We'll find him, Charlie." She said, placing a hand on my shoulder.
Angel Dust called out, "Hey, toots! If you need help searching, I'm happy to lend a leg...or eight!"
I smiled, appreciating Angel's offer.
"Thanks, Angel." I say, flashing a small smile at him.
As I continued searching, my anxiety intensified. Where was Alastor? And what was Husker hiding?
Nifty's determined voice echoed through the lobby, "I'll get you, little roach! You'll be the crown jewel of my collection!"
