(Last Part): Why Are You Avoiding Me?

It has been about an hour since you've been sobbing on that roof of the agency. All you saw were a few security guards walking outside of the agency. You sit there, not wanting to face anyone, even Hawks. You try looking on the bright side of things, letting your emotions out any best way you could. You wipe your tears, trying to be chill. You hug your kegs to your chest, burying your face into your knees. You hear a silent landing right behind you. "Go away." You say, trying to hide your quivering voice. "So you can keep running away once you turn to face me?" A familiar voice spoke. You stand up, turning around to see the only person you didn't want to see. "Hawks... What do you want?" You say, wishing you hadn't said that because you felt guilty. He looks at you up and down and smirks. "A-Are you checking me out?" You say, puffing out your wings and pout. Hawks chukles, noticing your pouting face. "You just look nice today." He says, still having his flirtatious grin on his face. You look at your outfit, crossing your arms. "Thanks." You respond. Clearly, not wanting to face him, you turn your head back at the city view. It was a moment of silence till Hawks opened his mouth. "Why are you avoiding me?" He says. A long pause course through the air. You turn to him, frowning. "Hey, what's wrong?" Hawks said, taking a few steps closer to you, closing the gap between you two even more. Your heart flutters at the sight of him stepping closer. You shake your head, fighting back feelings, you take a step back. "I'm sorry Hawks..we can't be like this anymore...it could ruin our partnership. Plus, I promised Endeavor-" You clap your hand over your mouth, not finishing your sentence. Hawks can already tell what you were gonna say. "You promised Endeavor not to be near me!?" Hawks says, his tone hinting he is for sure pissed off. "This was all about a promise with Endeavor!!?!" He said, his tone raised a bit higher than before, taking steps closer to you. You back up as he started to take steps, coming really close to you till you were practically at the edge of the roof, trying not to fall off. "Look, I'm sorry... we can't get-" "Any attachments! I know!" He shouts, interruping you. He's glaring right at you very angerly. "Since when do you care what Endeavor thinks Y/n!?" He shouts again, louder than before as if announcing to the world. Your heart sinks at the sight of him yelling at you. You knew he hated you for liying to him. "Look, Hawks...I can explain.." You say, your voice aching with sadness, almost sounding like you were about to cry. "No! I don't need an explanation. I never should have met you!!...You bring a different meaning to the word hero... you shouldn't even be one!" He said, yelling at your face. You flinched a little as he yelled. You've never seen him like this. Hawks must've realized what he said because he looked like he'd been shot with a gun to the heart. "Y/n..." Hawks said, his hand reaching out to you to touch your shoulder. You smack his hand away. "No... you call me by my hero name..[H/n]." You say, a few tears rolling down your cheeks. You take a step back, not realizing you were at the edge still. Your foot slips, and you fall. "Aah!-" You say, the word escaping barely escaping your mouth. "Y/n- I mean - [H/n]!!" Hawks says, changing the words of his sentence as he jumps off the roof and glides down to catch you. You flip yourself over to try and cath wind, but you're going down too fast, so it's almost impossible. Before you could hit the ground, you feel feathers bring you up and Hawks at your side. "Got you." He says, bringing you back up to the roof, his feathers going back onto his wings. You scoff. "I could have done that myself, but I guess I'm not worthy of that as a "hero," huh?" You said, crossing your arms. "Look, I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean to say that. I didn't know I had an angry side." He says, looking down at you and still holding onto you. You realized he's still holding onto you. Your face flushed, looking down at his hand on your waist. "Are you blushing?" Hawks says, smirking and grabbing your chin to make you look at him. "Wha- no!" You say, lying. His smirk only grows wider. "You like this, don't you?" He says seductively. You chukle nervously, but you are trying to hide the nervousness in it. "No." You say, your eyes dart left and right then back at him. "Come on, admit it." He smirks, bringing his face close to yours. "I just said no." You say, somewhat trying to convince him you aren't interested. But it's almost as if he sees right through you. "Alright.. we can be friends... but before our friendship starts..." He says, pausing his sentence for a few seconds. You gulp, waiting for him to finish, the suspense killing you on the inside. "... You have to kiss me." He says, grinning. You laughed, you're eye twitching. "On the cheek?" You say. Hawks shakes his head, bringing his head a few inches closer, and your face starts to flush again. "No~" He whispers softly and flirtatiously. You feel his hot breath on your face as he brushes his thumb on top of your lips. Your wings twitch, and your eyes widen slightly as he parts your lips a little and kisses you. Your eyes widen even more, shocked that he just went for it. You don't back down and kiss him like you've always "secretly" dreamed of. He entered his tongue into your mouth, exploring the inside and every inch of you. You wrap your arms around his neck, and he wraps his arms arms around you as he groans into the kiss. He goes down to your neck, kissing and nibbling on your soft flesh. You moan slightly, stopping him. "Okay, that's enough....." You say, panting your words. You look over at him. He's panting as well. "So, are we friends?" You ask, your breath slowing down. He is still holding onto you, looking into your [E/c]-red eyes. "Sure." He smiles. "Unless you wanna be more~" He says in a flirtatious way again. "I'm good." You say, booping him on the nose with your index finger. You both laughed. Hawks lifts you off the ground, spinning you around, both of you continuing to laugh. He sets you down. You wave goodbye because you had to leave. You fly off, Hawks's eyes follow you, never looking away. He sighes, thinking about nothing but you. ♡
