The once proud and powerful family of Ostricia stands divided between the three children of the descendants of Emperor Garios IX, the last emperor of Valeria before the Great Collapse.
THE EAST:
In the eastern lands, Lady Lava of Uxhal became kind and gentle from being a nurse when she was younger, back before the Empire weakened. When the Empire shattered a faithful servant successfully kept her hidden for some time from the chaos, eventually one of her father's officers found her hiding in the dock city of Leopardsburg.
Soon after she was transported to Veluca, the eastern provincial capital, and voted in without opposition, the Eastern Valerian Empire was formed, encompassing the eastern lands. Due to her kind nature, she refuses to use military force unless it is necessary.
The locals gave her the nickname Empress Lava, the Merciful because of it. Unlike her brothers, she doesn't rule with an iron fist and keeps the Imperial Senate alive but this isn't without consequence her kind nature also leads the Imperial Senate to manipulate her and essentially make her into a puppet Empress, a figurehead, to make people think she's in control when the Senate is really the ones ruling the empire.
Time will only tell how the Empire's future will be shaped. Will the Senate keep its stranglehold on the Empire, or will the Empress regain her authority?
