This wasn't good. It's been two whole days since Izuku had last seen the alpha and since then, Katsuki has been the only thing on his mind. He felt terrible about it. Izuku was suppose to think about how he could help his mother and get the money for her treatment as soon as possible. And he has, but he hasn't been as focused on it as he should've been. It was all Katsuki's fault.

Izuku had to apologize profusely to his mother's doctor but she was very understanding. With someone with a high stress job as well, she understood the struggle and how unexpected situations can pop up out of nowhere. Luckily, the two of them managed to come to an agreement over the phone. Midoriya will pay the full amount up front by taking a loan from his bank and pay it back with every paycheck he receives from the Hero commission for Katsuki's sessions. Right, Katsuki. The fucking prick.

The omega was really getting frustrated with himself at this point. Even when they were kids, Izuku could never stay mad at the blonde. He had a very odd way of making the omega forgive him for almost anything. But Midoriya knew that this time it was different. He couldn't allow himself to forgive the alpha so easily just yet, not after what he did to him all those years ago.

It's ironic. Izuku had always been the one to tell his patients to leave things in the past to spare their own sanity. But here he is. Losing his god damn mind. Izuku's fingers tapped restlessly on the edge of his desk, the rhythmic clacking of his knuckles against the wood mirroring the agitation gnawing at him. His thoughts circled back to Katsuki, and with each pass, the frustration grew. How could he be so preoccupied with someone who had caused him so much pain?

Izuku rubbed his temples, trying to shake the persistent thoughts of Katsuki. It wasn't just that Katsuki had triggered old wounds; it was the way his presence seemed to disrupt every aspect of Izuku's life. The more he tried to push Katsuki out of his mind, the more the alpha seemed to occupy it.

His gaze wandered back to the window, where the city lights were beginning to flicker on. The fading daylight cast long shadows across his office, a stark reminder of how much he had to lose. He couldn't afford to let his personal issues with Katsuki interfere with his responsibilities.

Izuku glanced up at the clock on the wall and felt a jolt of realization. He was running late for his session with Katsuki. He quickly gathered his things, his movements hurried but controlled. As he was about to leave, the door to his office opened, and Rina stepped in.

"Hey, Izuku, I wanted to—" she started, her eyes catching sight of the clock. "Oh, you're running late."

Izuku sighed, his expression a mix of embarrassment and determination. "Yeah, I just lost track of time. I need to get going. I have a shit ton of paperwork when I get back too..."

Rina walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder, giving him a reassuring smile. "Don't sweat it. I'll write off on it."

Izuku nodded gratefully, feeling a bit more at ease. "Thanks, Rina. I really appreciate it. I'll text you when I'm at home."

With a final nod, he hurried out of the office, his mind shifting focus to the upcoming session. As he navigated through the city, he kept a steady pace, determined to make it to Katsuki's appointment on time.

When he arrived at Katsuki's building, he moved quickly through the lobby and up to the designated floor. He took a moment to catch his breath before stepping into Katsuki's home. However, his senses were immediately assaulted by a rather pleasant scent that seemed to be coming from the kitchen.

The rich, savory aroma of katsudon wafted through the air, a comforting and delicious scent that instantly made his stomach growl. He had been so absorbed in paperwork earlier that he hadn't realized how hungry he was until now.
