Yelan was quick to get back with you.

On a freezing morning, a crow landed on the fence of the manor. You notice them when you are wiping the window cleans with other maids. "Madam Lucy, I will go check on Tinsey." You toss the towel in your hand and wave at the head maid.

"alright! Thanks for helping us, Miss Dahlia," she smiled back.

You can't believe a sweetest person like the head maid is after Tinsey's life too. You aren't sure about the matter. You just start to assume everyone here is a danger to her. Who knows that Lucy person actually might be good? But you want to be safe rather than sorry.

After making sure that no one is following you, you head outside and walk towards the fence gate. The closer you approach the fence, the odd ginger colour stands out. The crow was staring down at him.

"Ah, good morning, comrade," and as if he noticed your footsteps, he turned around slowly. "Morning," you quietly reply and stand next to him, watching the crow fly over to your shoulder.

"So this is your way of communicating with an outsider," said Childe as he pointed over to the small piece of letter on the crow's leg. "Yeah," you replied shortly. It would be better if he didn't spot you using a crow to make a communication at all. You are afraid he would have looked into the letter before you, but these crows are trained to land on the people assigned to them.

"I won't tell a soul," he chuckles.

"I don't care even if you did," you replied to him, knowing him implying to the crow messenger.

"really?" He emphasises the A sound. "Nonchalant as ever, I could never read your expression," he says with a small chuckle. "Who is it?" Childe questions.

"Why would I tell you?" you replied. The moment you take the letter from the crow, it flies off immediately. You wish you could do that right now too. Running away from this man in front of you.

"Seems like someone has closed their heart to me," he leans on the fence.

You didn't reply.

"Hey y/n," he calls your name. "Are you interested in joining the fatui "

You glance at Childe to check how serious he is. From the look of it, he does seem like he's inviting you for real. But you already have a place you belong, a boss that takes care of you well. You don't wish to be apart from your current boss right now.

"No thanks, I like working as a freelancer," you say, looking away. You still think Childe doesn't know.

"Why not? You know your bounty has gone up again. I think it would be dangerous to live without belonging to an organisation," he replied in a suggestive manner.

"I'm good; I'll head back now."

Childe, watch your back go further away slowly and slowly. He continues to stare at you until you head inside the manor. "Rin." Then, when the door to the manor shut, he called for his assistance. "Track the crow." Childe's voice was cold. His smiley expression all disappeared.

"Yes, sir," and from the walkie-talkie, a sound of a boy replied back.

When you finish reading the letter from Yelan, you quickly burn them and let the wind carry the ash away. It's your way of erasing traces of important information. But you burn unimportant letters too.

"Now that's done, I guess I will go check on Tinsey." You murmured to yourself and stepped out of your room. There are about three more days till the marriage; you are hoping to explore the basement tonight or at least tomorrow at the latest.

Tinsey has a set of routines as the day of the ceremony gets closer.

You glance at the nearby clock and assume where she should be now. At this hour, she would be learning how to dance properly. You don't know why she needs to learn these things for her wedding, but I guess this family has a different tradition than what you are used to.
