Recap from Part 1:

Nick's right hand let go, his left still holding Jake effectively in place. The anger running through him fuelled his strength, allowing him to overpower the other man. Both men moved with rapid jolts, fighting for the dominant power. Quickly, Nick turned his stance sideways, placing himself on an angle. He raised his right arm and drew it behind him. His hand clenched into a fist and he assumed the position to end the struggle.

"Stop, you're dead to me if you punch him," Malcolm said.

♡ "Malcolm didn't even say goodbye to us, he was so quiet the whole time when we were leaving," Chris said from the passenger seat.

Nick and Larray exchanged looks.

"Yeah, guess he was just too caught up with his other friends, that's fine," Nick tried to shut down the line of questioning.

"Guess he's dead to you," Larray giggled.

"Shut up," Nick mumbled for only Larray to hear.

"Well, I would go that far, I think Nick's right probably just busy or whatever," Chris agreed with his brother.

"Am I taking you home or are you sleeping over at ours?" Matt looked at Larray through the rearview mirror.

"Home please, Matty-poo,"

Matt laughed at the nickname, "Alright,"

"Can I sleep with you Nicky, please?" Chris asked.

The three brothers had arrived home, all crowded in the kitchen to debrief the evening. One of being more secretive than others. Nick was thankful Chris had going to bed in mind, cutting the conversation short.

"Yes Chris, you don't gotta ask," Nick brushed a hand through his brothers curls.

"I just have to get changed and brush my teeth downstairs then I'm going to get a lemonade then I'll come upstairs," Chris listed as he made moves to walk down to his bedroom.

"Yep, that's fine take your time," leaned his forearms onto the countertop of their kitchen island. He let out a sigh, happy the night was finally coming to an end.

"Thank god for the play-by-play I don't know what Nick would've done with out it," Matt sassed playfully from where he was sat at their kitchen table. He laughed to himself.

"Leave him alone," Nick tried to keep his tone light.

"Whatever Matt, you jealous I didn't want to sleep in your room?"

"Am I jealous I won't have a blanket hogging, personal heater in my bed clinging to me the entire night?" Matt added back, "no, no trust me I'm not jealous of that." he chuckled at his own joke.

"Sure you aren't," Chris said from the stairway, making his way downstairs after he spoke.

A silence befell the kitchen area. Both older triplets looking at their respective phones. Matt looked up from his game of Pokemon Go and analyzed his brother's unusually tense demeanour.
