It was nighttime, and the school was eerily quiet. The weight room echoed with the rhythmic clinking of weights as Matt worked out on the bench-press machine. He paused for a rest, wiping the sweat from his brow, when a faint noise caught his attention. Curious and a bit uneasy, he stood up and decided to investigate.

Matt wandered through the deserted hallways, the sound of his footsteps bouncing off the walls. He finally reached a classroom. The room was dark, and as he stepped inside, he inadvertently set off a series of mouse traps that had been meticulously placed on the floor. Wincing, he flicked on the light.

"Ohh! Oh, come on! Seriously?! Do you know how long it took for us to set all this up?!" Caroline's exasperated voice filled the room. Tyler, Elena, and Bonnie were also there, busy setting more traps.

"Forgot about senior prank night, huh?" Tyler teased.

"Clearly," Matt replied, still a bit dazed.

Caroline rolled her eyes. "How could you forget? We've only been waiting for this since like freshman year."

"Yeah, Matt. If I'm doing this, you're doing this," Elena chimed in, a playful smile on her face.

Matt shook his head, amused. "I'm kind of surprised any of you are doing this."

"Caroline's making us," Bonnie said with a mock sigh.

"We're about to be seniors. These are the memories that will stay with us forever, and if we don't..." Caroline began passionately.

"And if we don't create these memories now, then what's the point of it all?" Elena finished for her.

Caroline crossed her arms, determined. "Go ahead and make fun, I don't care."

Tyler snorted. "You're all lame. And I've got ten more classrooms to prank." He grabbed his bag and headed out, leaving the others behind. Elena was about to follow him.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Bonnie called after her.

"To superglue Alaric's desk shut. I'm making memories," Elena replied with a mischievous grin.

Caroline laughed. "I love you!" she called out as Elena exited the classroom.

In the hallway, Elena saw Tyler directing other students, handing out rolls of saran wrap. "Get the faculty toilet seats, and Dana needs bodies in the gym. Let's go," he instructed.

Elena laughed at the chaos and opened a set of double doors, only to come face-to-face with Klaus and Juliet. She froze, her heart pounding. Juliet, whom she thought was dead, stood beside Klaus.

Klaus's smile was chilling. "There's my girl."

Panic surged through Elena. "Klaus!" she exclaimed, turning to run, but he was already in front of her, blocking her escape.

"Rumor has it you're supposed to be dead. What are we going to do about that?" Klaus's voice was a dangerous whisper, leaving Elena no room for escape.

Stefan woke up with a start, his head throbbing and his vision blurry. As he slowly came to, he noticed Rebekah standing near the open back door of the truck, a smirk playing on her lips.

"Oh, he lives," Rebekah remarked, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Stefan groaned as he tried to sit up, the pain in his neck and back making it clear he'd been through the wringer. "What happened?" he asked, his voice hoarse.

"You took a beating. My brother's been breaking your neck all afternoon," Rebekah replied, a hint of amusement in her voice. "Quite the temper."

Stefan winced, rubbing his neck as he tried to piece together the events that led to this moment. "Why did he bring us back to Mystic Falls?" he asked, still trying to make sense of it all.
