I needed to catch
a glimpse of you
so I did as I should
and followed the path to you.
I found you there,
a mere second was enough:
I was flooded with love.
I saw your smile
and my heart exploded.
I read your words
and my heart stopped,
I heard it crack open;
for the second time now,
it's always your words:
they speak so loud.
It seemed we were dancing:
every time I got closer
you waltzed away,
leaving me in a lonely hallway.
The rhythm's changing
and so is the tempo.
It seems we are dancing:
every time you get close
I wonder how I got
the blessed chance to love you.
How could such amusing mind
fall for this fool,
like them or even
think of them a spare second?
You have me falling
all over again every time
and it's the sweetest tripping ever.
I forget the fear of losing the way
cause you are were I belong
and now I know I'm not alone
in this dream I call home.
I want to run back into your arms,
feel your chest heave and let my thoughts slow down, my heart race.
I want to feel your gaze on me and melt,
crumble under your smile,
tremble like a lyre's chords
playing our very own melody.
This feeling of longing is fuel to me
who thought this love could never be.
