Imagine him as your ex-husband that still love you

Y/N
It had been years since me and Joshua went our separate ways. Our marriage had been full of love, but life's challenges led me down different paths. The decision to divorce was mutual, but it left both of us with a deep sense of loss. He moved to another city to focus on his career, while I stayed behind, trying to rebuild my life.

After the divorce, I discovered I was pregnant. The news had been overwhelming, and with him already gone, I decided not to tell him. I choose to raise our babies on my own with the help of my parents, determined to give them a happy and stable life. The years passed, and though I often thought of him, I focused on being the best parent I could be.

One day, while out shopping with Jiseok, Jiwoo, Jinho
, I heard a famillar voice behind you. "Y/N?

I froze, recognizing the voice instantly. Turning around, I saw him standing there, looking as shocked as I felt. He hadn't changed much- still as handsome and gentle as I remembered, but there was hint of sadness in his eyes.

" Joshua...hi," I managed to say, trying to keep my composure. My three kids, who were busy playing nearby, hadn't noticed the tension between me and the man in front of you.

His eyes flicked from me to the kids, and then back to me, his expression full of questions.

My kids, unaware of who was Joshua, looked up at him curiously

Joshua
I crouched down to their level, a kind smile on his face. " Hi there. What are your names?

Y/N
After they introduced themselves, I could see the wheels turning in his mind. He didn't ask the question that was clearly on his mind. But I could see the unspoken thoughts in his eyes. He stood up and turned to me.

Joshua
"Can we catch up sometime? I'd love to know how you've been? I asked her, my tone filled with genuine interest and hint of longing.

I hesitated for a moment before nodding. " Sure, I'd like that."

Joshua
" I didn't expect to see you here," I said softly, trying to process the sight of her after all this time.

Y/N
I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to explain the situation. But before I could say anything, one of my children ran to up me which is jiseok, tugging on my hand " Mommy, can we get ice cream?"

Joshua
My eyes widened at the word " Mommy", and I looked at her with a mix of surprise and confusion. " You...you have kids? I asked her, my voice barely above a whisper.

Y/N
I nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yes, these are my children

Joshua
I look at them, then back at her, my expression a mix of emotions. " Why didn't tell me? I asked her, the hurt evident in his voice.

Y/N
Tears welled up in my eyes as I struggled to find the right words. " I didn't want to burden you, Joshua. You were moving on with your life, and I didn't want to hold you back. I thought.... I thought it would be easier this way."

Joshua
My expression softened, and I steeped closer, my eyes searching hers. "Easier for who? I would have wanted to know,Y/N, I would have wanted to be there for you-for them."

Y/N
The two of us decided to sit down at a nearby cafè to talk. The children were occupied with their ice cream, giving me and him a moment of privacy.
I did explained everything- the surprise of finding out I was pregnant after the divorce, the decision to keep it from him, and the challenges I faced raising them on my own.
