They say we were a tragedy, I thought we were meant to be,
Like Shakespeare down at the globe,
Where was our happy ending? I guess we'll never know,
I saw that the glue on my paper ring had faded,
Like your head on those nights, I wasn't sure if I could save it,
Sitting there in my blue jeans, a rugby match playing on the TV,
I switch over the channels as I reach for some tape,
Not having the heart to let my memories waste,
You knew what I loved, and i knew you,
If only I could've known that we would go so blue,
Now I say So Long to my London Boy,
Hoping he'll be nicer to his new favourite toy.

This poem is about the contrast between Taylor Swift's song "London Boy" (From Lover) and "So Long, London" (From The Tortured Poets Department), with references to a few songs on both albums :)
