A soft knock on the door of her room jolts Deianira from her thoughts. She looks up from the book she was reading, surprised at the unexpected visitor. "Come in," she calls out, wondering who it could be at this time of night.

The door opens and Luke Castellan steps inside, his tall frame filling the small space of her room. He closes the door behind him, a small smile on his face. "Diya," he greets her, his voice smooth and silken. "Got a minute?"

"Luke," Deianira says, hiding her surprise as best she can. She hasn't spoken to him is quite a while. "Sure, come in." She marks her page in the book and sets it aside, turning her full attention to the Son of Hermes.

Luke steps closer, his movements smooth and confident as he takes a seat on her bed, uninvited. He looks around her room, studying the few personal decorations she has. "Nice place you've got here," he says, a hint of condescension in his voice. "Cozy." he rolls a water bottle in his hands, but instead of water inside, it some sort of pink liquid.

"Thanks." she pulls her knees up to give him space.

"Here." Luke holds up the bottle. She takes it carefully. "From Ambrose. Heard you weren't sleeping well. It'll help."

Deianira hesitates, but his supportive smile wasn't faltering. "Thank you." she says and unscrews the lid. He watches as she drinks down the pink liquid. It tasted like chemicals and paint, but she swallows it down. Luke smiles again as she finishes the last drop, but his eyes move to the door, as if waiting for someone to walk in.

"Is something wrong?"

Luke turns his attention back to her, his smile widening. "No, nothing's wrong. I just wanted to talk to you." He pauses for a moment, studying her face intently, as if trying to gauge her reaction to his presence.

"Okay," she tries to smile. "What's up?"

Luke leans back on his hands, still intently watching her. "I wanted to talk to you about your loyalty," he says after a moment, his voice taking on a more serious tone.

Deianira frowns. "My.. my loyalty?"

Luke nods, his gaze unwavering. "Yes. To camp. To Olympus. To the gods." He stands up and begins pacing the small room, his movements restless. "You're a smart girl, Deianira. You must know that the gods don't care about us, right?"

Deianira feels something crawl up her back. "What are you talking about?"

Luke stops pacing and turns to face her, a fire in his eyes. "They use us, Deianira. They use us for their own gain, and then discard us like we're nothing. They're selfish, power-hungry, and they don't deserve our loyalty."
